"We stayed there last weekend for an extended Family get together. The Hotel Staff went out of their way to accommodate all our special requests. Special shout out to Sujay the head Manager he really went all out, above and beyond! This was our 2nd time back. we didn't regret coming back."
"This place is ideal for a family reunion or milestone celebration! We just had an event for 250+ and this hotel can easily host more than double that. You can tell that there is now new management, because the property is well kept, immaculate and the service is impeccable. We have absolutely no complaints! With a nice sized indoor pool, game room, multiple lounge areas, and a beautiful bar overlooking the outdoor pool, this place is a winner! Additionally, the ballrooms are huge and one of them overlooks the mountain, with windows along the entire wall. (Note the attached picture taken in the Treetop Ballroom.)"
"Our family had the best time at Mountain Laurel Resort! The kids loved the indoor pool and the game room, while I enjoyed the hiking trails and the spa. The evening bonfire was a lovely way to end our days. A perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend for families"
"I'm sure in its prime, this place was beautiful but now, it's a mess. The rooms don't have any TV's!! We were given 2 towels (only) for 2 of us - no wash cloths, or hand towels, no microwave, the room was barely cleaned to the minimum standards. Our connecting door didn't have a lock so we had to prop a chair under it. The halls and stairwells were dark and sketchy, no restaurant and the outside looked like one big construction site. The staff were friendly, but it was the same six people all weekend taking care of a few hundred of us at an event. The banquet hall bathroom did not have locks on the stalls and were constantly out of tp and papertowels. You can definitely tell they have not put any money into building maintenance or customer experience! Very disappointing...."
"I updated my past rating from 3 to 1 star. This was probably a great resort when it was built. Sadly, it has gone downhill over the years. We have been there three times and each time the rooms have gotten worse and amenities continue to close. Our room was a suite with a bedroom and living room with small kitchen. The room was in great need of remodeling. One of the sinks didn't drain. One of the toilets only has one bolt in the seat. No TV, no chairs. Just one broken down couch and a table. The beds were every uncomfortable. The headboards weren't attached to anything, just leaning against the wall. The stove looked unsafe and the fridge made awful noises. You had to open the room door to open the fridge door. The pool was not open. No restaurants open. The stables, mini golf and basketball and tennis courts are all closed. Ceilings were leaking throughout with buckets under the leaks. It's just a very sad looking place. It would take a ton of money to bring this place back to life. The Poconos used to be a great vacation destination, but the entire area has been hit hard economically. Many businesses are closed."
