"I order from here and I had never seen Mr. Charlie, so I ordered for pickup and when I pulled up I saw A Man tending to the awesome smelling Grill and met Mr. Charlie himself we spoke about the early days of Barbecue in Philly, I remembered the spots , but Mr. Charlie knew the people that owned these businesses, in the city I enjoyed The knowledge He gave me , And my ribs were tender and Delicious as Always Thank You Charlie's Country Barbecue, excellent Food."
"Well, well, well. Let me tell you about this place. If I could have given this place no stars I sure would have. My cousins and I drove all the way to this place from Delaware County we were really looking forward to trying their food after we had heard about them on the channel 6 FYI. When we arrived at this place it was a little before opening. We began looking at the outside menu to get an idea of what we wanted to order. The lady( I guess she's the owner) came out saying we're not open yet. We already knew that!!! Duh... But she continued to tell us we could order on line and that she's trying to get things together. She was so very rude. She acted like she didn't even want us to look at the outside menu. We were willing to wait until she opened. Her attitude was so nasty. We started to just leave and go elsewhere. But, because we came so far we just decided to order. I wish we would have just left when we started to. The ribs was tough and the cabbage was bland and the string beans had no seasoning and the yams was too sweet. My other cousin got turkey wings which she said she didn't like either. The prices were ridiculous!!! That was our first and last time there. No one needs to deal with people treating you rude when you're spending your money. We tried to patronize our black owned businesses and this what we got. I won't be recommending them to my family or my friends."
"Saturday morning 6/3/23, at 1:00 pm, no greens! How do you call your restaurant Soul Food without Greens! We order 2 platters, 1 half slab ribs overcooked and dry, the stringbeans over cooked like noodles, no seasoning in the cabbage, and the 2 sweet potato pies was overcooked and burnt and was as big as my thumb! Next my beef short ribs platter sandwich was overcooked, dry and hard, my mac-n-cheese was overcooked, sweet, and no cheddar cheese at all! We saw advertised on channel 6 news, and that convinced me to try this business. We paid $85 for 2 platters and 2 pies my cat won't even eat! 1st and last time ordering here! You should be ashamed of how you treat people!!!"
"OMG the food was delicious! The Smokey taste of Ribs and sweeeeet potato pie I never tasted a better crust in 51 years and my people are from Mebane NC. My kin are famous fiddle players - Joe and Odell Thompson this sweet potato pie would probably inspire new music!"
