"It was very dark to point cause hardly see menu. Our server was nice(when we saw him) he didn't came around much, took forever to get check and never offered dessert. Food was ok at best. Duck was very chewy and everything else was just ok. Saving the night for us was the live music"
"I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Twisted Tail during restaurant week, and it turned out to be a delightful experience that exceeded my expectations. Celebrating my birthday with my family, we were treated to a culinary journey that left our taste buds dancing. Ambiance and Entertainment: The Twisted Tail offers more than just exceptional food; it provides a lively and vibrant atmosphere. The addition of live music added a wonderful touch to the evening, creating a dynamic and enjoyable backdrop to our celebration. First Course - Spanish Octopus and Chorizo Taco: Our culinary adventure began with the Spanish Octopus and Chorizo Taco, a perfect start to the evening. The flavors were expertly balanced, with the tender octopus complementing the spiciness of the chorizo. The presentation was elegant, setting the tone for a memorable meal. Second Course - Crawfish Mac & Cheese: The Crawfish Mac & Cheese stole the spotlight during the second course. Creamy, indulgent, and rich in flavor, it was undoubtedly the highlight of the evening. The generous serving of crawfish added a delightful twist to the classic mac and cheese, making it a dish to remember. Entree - Blue Bay Mussels: For my main course, I opted for the Blue Bay Mussels, and I was not disappointed. The mussels were cooked to perfection, and the broth was a savory blend of flavors that left me savoring every bite. The portion size was generous, making it a satisfying and delectable choice. Dessert - Chocolate Crepe Cake: The culinary journey concluded on a sweet note with the Chocolate Crepe Cake. This dessert was a chocolate lover's dream, with layers of delicate crepes and rich chocolate ganache. It was a heavenly ending to an already fantastic meal. Drinks - Black Cherry Gimlet and Kool Kat: The beverage selection at The Twisted Tail perfectly complemented the meal. The Black Cherry Gimlet was a refreshing and well-balanced cocktail, while the Kool Kat added a touch of uniqueness to the overall experience. The drink menu, much like the food, showcased a thoughtful curation of flavors. In conclusion, The Twisted Tail not only met but exceeded my expectations for a birthday celebration. The combination of exceptional food, attentive service, live music, and a vibrant ambiance made for a memorable evening. I highly recommend The Twisted Tail for anyone seeking a culinary adventure with a perfect blend of flavors and entertainment."
"Full review on instagram @Dream_cay Excellent service and ambiance. We called for reservations and explained that our child has special needs and they treated us in the most kind way. A hidden gem for sure."
"We all know reviews are subjective. Here is my opinion of a most memorable dinner experience. It was my birthday, and having recovered from being sick, this was my first meal out in a long time. I did not pick the restaurant, but my family did. Let’s start off with an early reservation of 5 o’clock. A very clean, rustic place, and Daniel, our very attentive, server. No cocktails for me, today, but there is a very nice bar and cocktails and a variety to choose from. Let’s get to the food. The most flavorful, unique flavor combinations, and food items, I really don’t make at home, and I love to cook and bake. My entree, which, I chose was the hanger steak with fingerling potatoes. My husband had the double pork chop. My son the breast of duck and my daughter, the swordfish. Appetizers were the whipped ricotta, brussel sprouts, enoki mushrooms, the duck confit, the wagyu beef tartare. All the food was made to perfection and I cannot say enough about the unique flavor combinations. My sincerest compliments to the chefs. As for desserts, that was another terrific addition. I can go on and on, but you have to experience the restaurant for yourself. I love the jazzy music and ambiance and so look forward to trying their brunch. They also have live performances and last night Tom Craig was performing. Truly, a very nice, upscale, fun place to dine."
"My experience was marked by a personable and knowledgeable waiter who graciously provided insightful suggestions. Opting for the chef's tasting, the standout recommendations were the exquisite mushroom toast and delectable duck. Culminating the meal with the apple tart proved to be an excellent choice, adding a sweet crescendo to the overall gastronomic affair. The combination of attentive service and noteworthy culinary selections rendered this dining experience notably enjoyable. My only gripe was the original seating location, next to the window on an extremely cold day. We were able to move to a table further from the window; however, I would have expected for the hosts not to seat guests next to the window on a cold evening to maintain customer comfort. I would recommend this restaurant for a group outing and date night."
