"Cafe run by volunteeers in one of the most prestigious temples in USA . This temple is very famous and good . But the quality of food has decreased and price has increased so much . Sambar is too watery and chutney is average . I’m not complaining temple food , but if they charge it at restaurant price , it should be good . Service is good . I actually like their sweets . Very delicious . Overall we like the temple but the cafe is average ."

"This is a review of the canteen (cafeteria) inside Balaji temple. after Darshan, I guess one must visit the cafeteria, I loved their tamarind rice & Pongal. you can find many options on the menu and I guess prices - that's shocking, none of the items are above $5 and I don't know how they are managing it ( I guess it's a non-profit cafe). in this inflation time, how one can sustain providing quality food under $5? We ordered Pongal, tamarind rice, Bisibelbath, samosa, Lassi, Mysore masala dosa. Loved their Pongal, simple yet great taste. there is an option for to-go as well. Same old system: Order at the counter (there are 2 counters), get a token number, go to the food counter, give the coupon, and collect your food. ample seating arrangement. On Weekends- the cafeteria gets full and there could be waiting for ordering, and collect your food. Coat checking, water, and bathroom facility are there."
