"From the second I called to request an appointment I was very pleased with how friendly and supportive the staff was, I was able to be fit in the following day and when I arrived for my consultation I was greeted and directed to fill out my new client paperwork, shortly after our tech came in followed by Dr Schueler, he was very professional and friendly, complimented my dog’s behavior and made everything easy for me to understand. I would come back again and again, thank you!"
"Dr.Schueler & team are the ONLY ones I TOTALLY trust with my 14 yr. old hemophiliac Jack Russell, "Spencie". We have been through may a close call with Spence and Dr. Schueler has always taken fantastic care and planning for Spencie's well being. He is well known and highly respected for his specialty in Neurology & Rehabilitation."
"Our first impression of this vets office was really good! The ladies in the front seemed to really care about our pup and the situation we were in. When we met the Dr. he really couldn't really care less that there was a dog in the room. No beside manner to be seen towards her as a new patient, I was expecting more. Fast forward to the day of our girls spinal tap.... We get there and the Dr. doesn't even realize she is there for that procedure that day. Keep in mind, the dog is knocked out completely for this... it's a big deal to us! So, we were a little skeptical of leaving here there for it, but we did.... We were given the results a few days later. Our pup was put on prednisone as well as her seizure medications. This prednisone literally drained the life from our puppy.. It did so much damage not only to her liver, but to her mental status. We got a different prescription filled of a particular medication that can not be broken when taken as it is extended released thru the day. We were told to give 1.5 of these pills twice daily (instead of writing the RX correctly for the right dosage in one pill) The pharmacist wouldn't even fill it that way for us as it is not to be given that way. The pharmacist called the Dr.s office to get the changes made before they filled it for us. This prescription was written by one of the techs, not the Dr. We were made to make an appointment to ask questions about medication changes (at $225 a pop as soon as you walk into the door as well) When I asked why we needed to make an appointment to just ask some questions I got attitude from the person taking the phone call. We were made to feel dumb for some of our questions and other questions simply told...'I don't know'. We were told on another phone call to lower our pups one medication -- this is a medication that during the appointment we were forced to make that we ALL agreed not to lower for at least 6 months from then! So, no bedside manner, no real answers, a total of 4 people working there and we were getting confliction information from all 4 of them at some point. I really wanted to like this place!!! I really thought we would! We were so upset about the care our girl was getting that I never even called to say we were leaving for a 2nd opinion... I do not ever just disappear from a Dr. or any type of service situation. Sad thing on top of all of this is, our 2nd opinion neurologist ruled out what Dr. Schueller said was wrong with our dog!!! Also, the 2nd opinion vet...never got the records sent over to them after professionally requesting them on 2 occasions. At least they got them sent over from our normal vet so they had some papers for comparrison =) Before anyone says anything about - oh, you just didn't want to pay the money...nope! We have insurance on our girl and we really lose no monies, but it is unfortunate that $225 is charged each time anyone walks in that door. I expect more for that! Also, we got an MRI of not only the brain, but also a shoulder...and another spinal tap at our 2nd opinion neurologist for less than the price we paid for just the spinal tap here. Do your own research and look around hard before you make any appointments with any specialist. If you're reading this it is because you too need care for a neuro pup or cat! Good luck to you in finding your specialist."
"I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Schueler and his staff. Our dog was unable to walk on her back left leg and her muscles were deteriorating quickly. She was originally thought to have an ACL tear and unfortunately that was not the case and the orthopedic vet told us he believed it was a neurological issue. I called two neurological vets but couldn’t get an appointment for almost a month. Our vet also referred us to Dr. Schueler and his office got us an appointment in just a few days and scheduled surgery the following week. Everyone was very friendly and professional, they called to check on our dog several times after her surgery and were always extremely helpful answering all our questions. We know she has a long road of recovery ahead of her but she is on the mend now and doing well."
"I took my dog here for spinal surgery. I’m so grateful that I came here. I never felt pushed to get a procedure. In fact he said I could take my dog home or only if I wanted to, I could leave him there over night to see if he truly does need the surgery. I ended up leaving him there since it was just easier on me. And yes he did need the surgery which we got squared away the next day. The place is expensive, but they are a specialized practice with a specialized doctor. It’s not your typical vet office. Animals are getting rehabbed and getting surgery here. Just like with humans the specialized stuff is expensive, but we have insurance. Anyway, Dr. Schueler knows what he is talking about. Very friendly as well and cares for your dog as if it’s your own. Never did I feel he was rude nor was his staff. His staff was extremely friendly and also treated my dog as if he was theirs as well. I asked tons of questions and got the info I needed along with papers on what to do after discharge. They’re always available if you need to talk to the doctor too. Not a bad experience for what it was."
