"Beautiful new place. Service was great in the beginning but slowly went downhill. 2 of 5 got their dinners then 3 then finally hubby and I got ours so everyone wasn’t eating at the same time. So the boardwalk fries were delish and loved the dipping sauces. The white clam Chowder was very salty. Hubby got the gumbo which was the best thing we ate. The rue was so good it took a lot for hubby not to lick the plate. I got the lobster Mac and cheese and portion was small esp for the price. Daughter got shrimp and grits which she liked. Another got crab cake sandwich and she didn’t even finish it. Overall I gave it 3 stars because it depended on the food ordered. It was expensive! I looked around to see if we would come back for the boil but portion size for the one that supposedly fed 2-3 was small and cost $80!"

"Massive disappointment. Most importantly, and the only pleasant part of our experience here, was that our server was excellent and attentive. Everything else was absolute rubbish. Hush puppies were room temp. Fried mixed basket was overcooked and over battered. Pretzel board was fine. The salmon special was cooked well but the flavor was overly scorched as was the grilled broccolini which was just swimming in cooking oil that tasted as if it had reached its smoke point. The flavor of one of the mains was so off putting that after 2 bites it could not be finished and was sent back to the kitchen. The manager would only provide a 50% comp on the meal which I felt was an absolute slap in the face after having spent well over $200 here for 3 people. It's like we paid $12.50 for a few french fries. We love a few of this hospitality groups other restaurants but I can say with confidence that I will not be returning to this particular establishment. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere."

"So happy to see how busy they are on their first week! The entire staff were super cheerful and truly cared about your experience. We got cocktails and wine. All were delicious! We got the hush puppies and pretzel board for appetizers. Hush puppies were okay. Definitely needed a lot of the honey butter. I’m not a pretzel person and I loved the pretzel! So good! We were three people and got the little boil to share. When it came out we were worried it wouldn’t be enough but it was PLENTY! Everything was so fresh. So tasty! We got the chocolate chip cookie for dessert. I was kinda hoping for an ooey gooey cookie but it was still good! We needed a seafood spot! Happy addition to the town! Definitely worth checking out."

"We recognize that this was the restaurant's opening weekend, but wow, were they unprepared. We sat at the bar. It was very loud. There were 4 bartenders (and it's a small bar and a fairly small restaurant) and yet it still took about 15 -20 minutes to get served drinks. We ordered hush puppies and they were okay, a bit dry. The most disappointing facet, though, was that it took well over 45 minutes after we ordered dinner and we still never received our food. We asked a bartender to check on it for us and she never did. It wasn't until we told another bartender to cancel the order that we'd just take the check (we'd been there nearly 2 hours at that point and had only had 2 drinks and an app) that the other bartender mentioned to the manager that we had been waiting that long. He simply apologized. There was no offer of any compensation, no offer of anything, just an agreement that it was excessively long. We left and went to Amalfi's ... they had 2 bartenders and we were immediately served and had dinner within 20 minutes. While we know that it was the opening weekend and there were kinks to work out, the manager's lack of action sealed the deal that we won't be returning."

"Another nice place for Pennington and the surroundings area. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Service was very attentive and our server was charming. The Hush Puppies could be a little lighter. The lobster roll was generous on the lobster and full of flavor. Hands down the best lobster roll in the area! Great Bourbon selection and desserts were excellent. We will be back."
