"Stopped here after a long drive across state from Pittsburgh for a business trip. Food was fantastic! Good old fashioned cooking, with a tremendous menu! They also have a HUGE bakery! Very friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere, and welcome feeling. I looked this place up before I made the trip, and it looked good. I am glad I checked it out! Definitely a new favorite!"
"As far as diners go, this one is right at the top of the list. The moment you walk through the door, you are heated with a massive desert display, and everything on it looks incredible. We were seated quickly, there is A LOT of room in this place, and it was filled with patrons of all ages. We were there for brunch, so we selected from the breakfast menu. I got the California Scramble, and my wife opted for 2 eggs, sausage and French toast. She also offered a mimosa, while I stuck with coffee. The coffee was ok. I'm a bit of a coffee snob though, and I'm sure the masses will find the coffee just fine, bit to me, it tastes like it was made with town water. It seems this is practice in most diners. If there was one bit of advice I could give, it would be to elevate the coffee game. Everything else was amazing! My California Scramble has a major comfort food vibe. Hollandaise sauce was terrific and the potatoes were crisp and tasty. My wife's breakfast was huge! And the eggs were cooked to a perfect over medium, and the sausage was delicious and the French toast.. oh my... Three slices of fluffy goodness. I got to try it, and all I can say is, I can't remember ever having better French toast. The servers were quick and friendly, the room was clean, and the atmosphere was what you'd expect in a diner. The menu options seem endless. I'll definitely be back again. My wife and I agree, this is THE spot for a diner style breakfast that we have found within 30 minutes of Ewing, AND the prices were actually easy on the wallet. Don't hesitate stopping at Golden Eagle."
"Really good diner with excellent soups, especially the beef and cabbage, and sizable dinner portions. The chicken parmesan with pasta or 2 sides, is very tasty as are most of the entrees on the menu. Most entrees come with soup and salad, which is a plus in my book. The cinnamon and cheese breads are excellent as well."
"Friendly amazing service! The food was flavorful with large portions! Don't leave without dessert.. You'll kick yourself if you do!"
"Cane here during dinner around 4pm. Ordered Pasta Carbonara. It has peas, bacon, roasted pepper. Waiter ask what kind of pasta I wanted so i said spaghetti. When I got the pasta OMGgggg I did not know it’s such a BIG portion. The pasta must be 1/2 box in my plate. However, it just did not taste a carbonara at all. I thought my pasta would be the regular spaghetti pasta but it looked like thin spaghetti. I did not enjoy it. I ate 1/4c of that pasta. I should have gotten rigatoni shaped pasta instead. The taste is so bland even if I added cheese on top. If u want to order their pasta dishes YOU can actually order each pasta dish and make it family style because the portion is huge. This carbonara 4 ppl can split them. When I go home I am goin to fix this pasta sauce. They also serve a cheese danish and some sort of cinnamon bread with butter. I find it odd to have butter. I tried it. Uhmmm it’s ok i had 2 bites. I just wished they serve just even a regular ciabatta or brioche rolls or garlic bread. I also tried their fish and chips but no photo. It tasted like frozen. I know this is a diner. Been to many other diners (NY and NJ diners) and the food of other diners I have been were awesome!! But not this diner. Sorry!!! Opted not to get any desserts. Went home hungry. I don’t think I would want to eat here again. I will just go back and dine with Nifty Fifty instead."
