Butter's Soul Food To Go

"The food there is terrible… fell all the way off.. I asked for turkey wings Mac and yams with a side of stuffin. The man on the phone said “oh wait we do have some yams I found some, good I thought I was gonna have to make some” implying they were old. The stuffin is very dry and taste like stovetop .. they use dark brown gravy like the mix beef pack gravy for the stuffin instead of turkey gravy which is strange.. and they even put it on the turkey wings. The gravy is clotty and super thick… they are honestly nice people but the food is truly trash… honest opinion. I know for a fact none of my food was within the same day fresh… I’ve eaten left overs before and that platter was that.."

"The ambiance at Butter's was relaxing, welcoming and nostalgic, wonderful! The service was accomodating, nice and courteous. The food was just ok. We had the turkey wings, mac/cheese, collard greens and chicken wings. The rich flavors one anticipates in soul food was missing. Many of the items on the menu weren't available. However, it was explained that they'd been closed for 3-days."

"The inside was antique nostalgia, I liked. The lima beans w/rice were good. The cat fish batter could have been better. It just was too loose for me. The yams were a tad too sweet but good depending on your tolerance level. The lemon pound cake was good. The sweet tea, I just had to cut with water. The one thing that I hated were the packaging of my greens not being fully enclosed inside the container."

"My husband and I purchased 2 platters today 1 beef 1 pork. I had the pork ribs with sauce on the side and the best thing about Butters is the atmosphere and the customer service. My ribs have been cooked and reheated, they have no flavor at all then they are like the box ribs from cousins 75% bone and 25% meat. Wont be back!! Oh the sides where great!!"
