"We had our first dining experience at La Roma on 1/13/2024. The food, atmosphere & service was excellent! I highly recommend checking this place out if you haven’t already. The attached images are the following: - Flatbread w/ buffalo mozzarella, roasted red peppers, tomatoes & balsamic glaze - Skirt Steak w/ garlic mashed & broccoli rabe - Salmon w/ garlic mashed & asparagus - Crème brûlée w/ fresh berries - Pumpkin Espresso Martini which was out of this world!"
"I cannot say enough good things about La Roma. The cocktails are beautifully crafted, the food is delicious and the service is excellent. This was my 6th time here, first time experiencing brunch! It never disappoints!"
"Amazing place in the Port Richmond section of Philly. Local, outstanding food, drinks and dessert. Order the risotto, it’s art! We had the miso salmon and also the tagliatelle pasta, which we shared. I couldn’t decide which was better! Dessert was a cheesecake with caramel base topped with fresh strawberries. I’d definitely go again!"
"I recently dined at this restaurant and was blown away by the incredible variety of options on their menu. It's a food lover's paradise! Every dish I ordered was nothing short of phenomenal. From appetizers to desserts, the flavors were simply outstanding. The grilled skirt steak is my personal favorite! The staff were attentive and the ambiance was delightful. I can't wait to return. Highly recommended!"
"Despite the main entree being good particularly the branzino at 28 dollars with the risotto was acceptable the risotto needs some work the soda has no fizz, there’s a distinct difference between a bottle of Pellegrino and seltzer water from the tap. My issue was that the server was very disingenuous with a few things. First we were seriously famished and just wanted to order food right away. She took too much time in coming over and reading the table the mood and what we wanted. We ordered and still waited for pretty much everything considering the fact that there were maybe a handful of tables inside the restaurant and a few people at the bar. Second, we wanted some bread just because we needed some food right away she stated that they just don’t do that. I thought it was in poor taste to deny a table bread it’s just sole bread they throw it out at most places. Third this was my first time here, the Atmosphere was fine the Restuarant was not busy by any standard. Our sever was nice but not attentive nor was she preoccupied with our order we waited a very long time for the food. Main courses, since we ordered appetizers first, the mussels couldn’t have been perfect but the chorizo they used in it was cheap and had an after taste they probably bought it wholesale and it was of a cheaper quality and although we were starving and had to eat it since we had no choice. I made an exception. I didn’t want to complain and try to give the place a chance since it’s new. My concern was that even after we finished the food she still didn’t come over to clear the plates. The Ragú was awful had a sweet like trate it was made with store bought sauce I can tell been too dozens of Italian restaurants so I know the difference. Overall I don’t think I’ll come back to this place. It could be a lot better there needs to be some tweaking of the drinks and your menu items. Don’t charge your customers for something you simply don’t have to begin with. I think the best thing on the e menu was the branzino but the risotto fell short of expectations. The sangria was good and she also failed to let us know right away that they had a happy hour going on until only a few minutes till 7 pm. I think that if she paid a little attention. To detail she could have up sold a lot of the things on the menu. We were there to eat as much as possible. We were hungry and ready to eat."
