"I had to go over to Camden to try this place as there’s just not too many soul food spots in Philly. The food was pretty good on a first try, have to go back and get more. I would highly recommend the friend pork chops, I got them smothered but would get them without gravy next time. They are seasoned great and fried to perfection. It comes with two and they’re very big. I enjoyed the Mac and cheese but wouldn’t get rice and gravy as a side again. Not a fan of whatever is happening with the gravy, it’s way too much. The cornbread is kinda weak. I think Miss Corrine sat me and she was friendly along with the other server. Will be back to try more."

"This place came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The service was great from the time you walked in. I opted for the buffet. The buffet was five sides and five meats. Everything was hot and fresh. The potatoes salad was a small portion but was really great five stars. The other portion sides were enough for two people. The collard greens were seasoned to profection as well. I highly recommend the fried chicken.We sat outside in the adjacent area to the restaurant. I would have to say it was comfortable and warm"

"They change the amount of food that they give you. I was told that the new small portion policy started today. (See pictures). See the review left by By someone right before my post. Notice the drastic difference in the size in the containers of mine and theirs. Notice all the room left in the space for the sides in mine. There's a thin layer of rice and mac and cheese at the bottom of the food used to be filled to the top of the container and even a little more. The prices are still the same for the food, but the portions are drastically, drastically different. I won't be buying any more food from this place. I just want to put a warning out there. You're spending $20 plus dollars for the food, and need to make your own sides at home. Used to Three pork chops, now it's two small ones. The prices aren't bad for the amount of food they USED to give you. GREED is something else."

"This was our first visit to Corrine's Place. Our platters had huge portions, and the food was both affordable and delicious! Our server, Dahlia, was wonderful too. We'll definitely be back."
