"The food was great but the service wasn’t good. We had a young boy serve us and unfortunately it seemed as though he didn’t know what the plates consisted of when I asked him. We waiting for over an hour for 2 plates of food, then the chef came out and told us “ I’m sorry, the boy forgot to give me your order, that’s why it took so long. “ I think we waited about an hour and a half for this, luckily we weren’t too hungry. I just don’t think people really care if he forgot or not, a customer is paying in exchange for a service and attentiveness. The atmosphere was enjoyable."
"Take a minute to step back in time. Great place to stop for a bite to eat or some delicious icecream. You can recieved a discount if you're riding the pocono trolley tour which makes it even better. Great service."
"Second visit here and it is superb. Last visit was for a shared cone and this time was for a sundae with sugar free chocolate syrup, walnuts topping over vanilla and strawberry scoops. The gentleman is kind and polite. I like the cafe because it provides an antique look and it's a quaint atmosphere."
"I’m an AT thru hiker who also happens to be vegan. This place has great vegan options, including a vegan breakfast scramble and some vegan ice creams. I heard from my non vegan friends that their non vegan options were good too. Friendly service and a cool atmosphere."
"This place was bizarre. I guess it gives you that old timey ice cream parlor feel. As soon as we walked in we were hit in the face with the smell of onions. Not really appealing when you are there for ice cream. It is a “cafe” as well. My 5 yo and 3 yo loved the little table for kids and played with the table setting and creepy dolls. The other strange thing is the woman who seemed to be cooking kept coming out of the kitchen and training the girl behind the counter. It was awkward. The ice cream was good but go somewhere else. The charm is not worth a visit."
