Buena Vista Mexican Restaurant

"After sitting empty in Fairmount for many years the addition of Buena Vista is certainly welcome. There aren’t enough low key options in the neighborhood like this. I was expecting standard Mexican fare but the birra tacos were the best I’ve ever had. The jus was magic. The decor and atmosphere is festive but not cheesy. Unfortunately service was pretty slow and would have ordered more if it were snappier but it definitely won’t prevent me from returning."

"Authentic for sure, glad I found this place yesterday evening! My boyfriend loves Birria tacos and he said the quality here was really well made/delicious and one of the best he’s ever had! I got the beans and cheese enchiladas (perfect that it comes with a side of beans, rice, pico). Very friendly people running this spot, definitely a hidden gem in Fairmount, very nice/clean and super kind/ fast service! We will be back :)"

"Buena Vista is a great addition to the neighborhood with great food, reasonable prices, and friendly service! We tried the chips and guacamole, Al Pastor tacos, enchiladas, and beef taco/tamale entrees, which were all great. The entrees come with more toppings than expected which added a ton of flavor. They do have an alcohol license and make a good margaritas, and have a variety of Jarritos and other drinks available. Glad to have them in the neighborhood since we don't have much in terms of Mexican!"

"A local Mexican restaurant serving up authentic tasty food for a very reasonable price. They recently opened in the Fairmount neighborhood and it feels like the perfect hidden gem. Excellent variety on their menu and high quality food. The wait staff is kind and thoughtful and I will most definitely be a regular customer."
