"On the road producing concerts for the local fair and needed a spot near my hotel downtown to grab a bite. The bartenders were super cool and genuinely enjoy interacting with the customers. They make good recommendations and even made it a point to show me the daily specials. The food and service were so good I came back the next night. "The live band saved this place from getting a lower score. I might have went on a bad day because my experience was so bad. Let’s start with the food. We started with the quesabirria egg rolls. It was ok but the flavors were really lacking. I’ve had birra from tonz of different places and this one lacked the Birria flavor. I had chicken tenders and fries, easy. My strips were so thin and fried pretty crispy which made the chicken dry, fries were fries and slaw and we just taste like they were about to go bad. My date had the southwest bowl and she stated that the purple slaw in the bowl made the bowl taste better. Our drinks were pretty good. I got the cherry limeade and it was good. She got a strawberry rhubarb mule and it was good. I had one more drink which is kinda of a lil show stopper. Cinnamon smoked old fashion. This is pretty and is present really nicely. How ever I can’t show u since my waitress just started he show when I was half looking. My waitress was definitely not giving waitress vibes. She seemed agitated with us at the table. We received our food and she did not once come and ask if we were ok. She was serving a table of 6 literally at arms reach next to me and did not even look our way to see if our meals were ok. I wanted ketchup because I had fries and no one offered ketchup. Because she saw wave at her while at the table next to me she came and said “oh sorry how’s everything.” I was left with a really bad experience from this place. I’ll keep it real, I usually tip 20% or more to waitress because I know how the job can be hard however that day she got less than 10% from me which I think was fair. Unsure if it’s some where I want to return. Sadly. The live band made this place stay-able. They were young and fun and played good songs."
