"Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing atmosphere! My fiancée and I went for dinner and loved our experience. I had the prime rib and mac and cheese which were both delicious. The serving sizes are generous, I was excited to have leftovers for lunch the next day! Cannot wait to go back again!"
"This was our first time eating here at the Johnsonville Inn. I found it to be an average restaurant. Let's start with the atmosphere. The dining room is very bright and bland. They've crammed in as many tables as they can so it's a little tight in some spots. It was extremely loud we couldn't talk to each other during our meal. They had live music that night and the acoustics in the room are not suitable for live music. It is also a very small room so you can imagine how loud it was. So, if you’re looking for a bar type atmosphere that's very loud this is the place for you. Let's move on to the food. We had ordered a couple of appetizers. The stuffed mushrooms weren't very tasty, they had some type of balsamic vinegar glaze on top. We also had the Caprese which was OK. I ordered the chili as my soup, and it wasn't really that good. It lacked that chili flavor and had huge chunks of hamburger just thrown in there. I also had meatloaf which was tasty. I like the mashed potatoes a lot but overall, it was an average meal ,nothing over the top. The service was good Our waitress was very attentive and came back to check on us periodically to make sure everything was OK. The prices were reasonable."
"Great place! I'm glad I saw pics of what the outside looks like because it doesn't even have a sign yet! The food is delicious and the portions are huge!!!"
"Honestly, saying "the food was phenomenal" doesn't do this place justice. First, it's important to note that everything is homemade. My husband and I started by sharing an order of wings, and it's been quite some time that we've been able to find wings this meaty. He also ordered the Prime Rib with Mac and cheese and coleslaw and I had the Meatload with mashed potatoes. Both were delicious. It's also important to note that if you're expecting a formal experience, this place isn't for you. Hubby is in the kitchen, while you'll momentarily catch Mom running around with their toddler on her hip, crafting cocktails for guests. Honestly, it was really heartwarming to be in this environment. The staff (and bartender, specifically noted since we sat at the bar) was very welcoming and personable, we really enjoyed ourselves! I have seen some reviews about the food not being not as warm as expected. We were there during a busy period and experienced the same. Perhaps that's something for them to critique, but it's didn't take away from the flavor and quality, one bit. We love to support local and this place is definitely worth a stop!"
