Tavern on Main

"This is a great spot to eat and it never disappoints. Haven’t been there in a while because we live in the city. Tonight we had the tavern burger, tavern mac and cheese and I tried 2 of the specials. Beef barley soup and brisket sandwich which is probably the best brisket I’ve had in a very long time. The soup was very tasty and the brisket was full of flavor. It was topped with arugula, some sort of dressing and thinly sliced purple onion. It was outstanding."

"You can find one of the best fish & chips right here on Main St. I set the benchmark for a good restaurant with the fish and chips. I ate every morsel of them! Everything about my experience there was perfect. Thanks a lot"

"The roasted brussel sprouts were dry and had little taste. The garlic fries were not much better. They blew a keg as they filled our second pint. They were going to dump it but I said I would drink it rather than throw it away. I got a partial glass that was mostly foam. They insisted on charging me$8 for it. I will never go back and recommend you do not either. Drive a couple miles up the road to Livingston Manor and have a fresh cheaper one at the brewery. The people are nicer there too!"

"Was visiting a resort nearby but the food was so bad that we went on an adventure to find food. The tavern was great! Good service, big portions, and kind employees. Personally I think the fish and chips were a little salty but food was good overall."
