Retro Burger

"We went for the first time tonight, I thought the food was really good, the burger was delicious, fries were fresh, crispy and salty (just how I like them). Our waiter was so nice and working extremely hard as he seemed to be the only server for a full restaurant. Even though he was busy he never appeared bothered by our few requests for additional things. I would definitely go back!"

"While initially disappointed that a local favorite (Mint Gastropub) was being closed and replaced by Retro Burger, my wife and I decided to give it a try on a Saturday evening to see if our disappointment was reasonable or not. When we arrived the place looked like it was closed (e g. we didn't see many cars in the lot), but was treated after a recent snow. Upon entering the restaurant, there were other patrons, but plenty of tables available. We were greeted promptly and seated by a friendly worker and from that point on the service was spectacular. Our drink order was taken shortly after being seated and our server was friendly and helpful. Our dinner order was also taken promptly and our food was served very quickly. Our food (my wife ordered the Hipster Burger, I ordered a Cuban and we shared fries. Everything came out at an appropriate temperature, generously portioned and tastefully plated. The accompanying house made cole slaw was delicious and overall it was a wonderful meal. Our concern about losing Mint was misplaced. Retro Burger continues the tradition of great quality food at a reasonable price and the vibe is fun too. We'll definitely put it in our rotation and visit again as well as recommend it to friends and family."

"We went for lunch right when it opened up. We were seated and served immediately. Staff was friendly and the burgers were very tasty! The fries and dipping sauces were served quickly and enough for 4 people to share. They were hot and fresh. We got a chocolate milkshake after lunch and it didn’t disappoint! We would definitely go again. The music was a little too loud for me but we were also sitting under the speaker!"

"I got food to go after work and it was very fresh! Fries are crispy and the burger was really tasty. Little pricy for a burger and fries but I definitely will come in and dine next time and try some other stuff. Love the atmosphere!!! ☮️☮️"

"We arrived at 5:50pm on Fri. 11/10/23 to a nearly dead dining room, but were told there was a 15 min wait. The hostess took my cell # and said she would text when our table was ready. She never did. We went to the bar and ordered a drink. After sitting there for about 45 min, the bartender asked if we’d like to order. When we told him we were waiting for a table and it had already been 45 minutes, he said he was going to check on it. More than 15 minutes later, we still had not been seated. He finally put us at a table, and it was several minutes before someone came over to tend to us. As you can see on the receipt, our order wasn’t taken until 7:19pm. They brought three waters to the table and never asked if we’d like anything else to drink. Several minutes later, he came back to take our order. When we did finally get our order, our appetizer was incorrect. We ordered the large size $11 Pepper Jack Mac Attack as a shareable for the table and got the small $7 size. When they brought out our meals, none of them were correct. I ordered my burger rare with extra cheese and add tomato. It was well done with no extra cheese, no tomatoes. My dining companions ordered their burgers medium and theirs were both rare. Neither had the extra cheese they ordered. They were tiny, dry, had no flavor and were on buns much larger than the burgers. And when I say tiny, when they brought me the sliced tomato they were slices of Roma tomatoes and one slice fit perfectly on that tiny burger. The pickles tasted like they had been soaked in sweetened kerosene. And the burgers don’t come with any sides like fries or even chips. Those are an additional cost. Our server never came back to see if we wanted anything to drink other than the water he brought us in the beginning, to ask if everything was ok or if we wanted anything else. The two cocktails we had were $11.50 each which is insane for a shot of vanilla vodka in a full glass of ginger ale. Our dinner was $75 + tip. At a burger joint!! We will never go back. At 6pm on a Friday evening, a new restaurant in our area should have a line waiting out the door! This place was a ghost town. By the time we left there were only three tables occupied."
