Reviews of Best Buy
"I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the lack of customer service I experienced at the Best Buy store in Woodbridge, Virginia, on 02/03/2024. I visited the store with the intention of making a purchase in the car audio department. Despite waiting for approximately 45 minutes, I did not receive any assistance from any of the employees. Several employees walked by and inquired if I had been helped, but when I responded "no yet", they attempted to summon assistance via radio without success. As a result of this frustrating experience, I decided to take my business elsewhere. I kindly request that someone from the corporate office contact me to provide a satisfactory explanation for the lack of assistance I encountered during my visit. Until I receive a satisfactory response, I will not be returning to this particular Best Buy location. Thank you for your attention to this matter."
"How does this place have four stars? Every time I come here it’s such an awful experience. Worst ever! I hate coming here and normally avoid it like the plague. I tried again today and stood at the desk without being acknowledged for like 5 minutes. Someone else came up and asked a question and she answered her. Meanwhile I was told to wait while she stood there as her customer a called a relative in India about the iPhone. She said she'd help me after. I asked if anyone else was working and she said no. Eventually a guy came up and I told him I wished he was here 10 minutes ago and then amended it to 6, 7, 8 and he looked at me and said "3". Uneffing believable. Guess what? I'm still waiting and it's been 20 minutes. He is helping me now but the other customer only just now left. They don't even have the item I came in for because online it said they did. I hate this place. I even talked to a manager who stated blankly at me muttering sorry. Never shopping at Best Buy again."
"Bad experience when using Curbside pickup. I never got my order delivered to my car. I checked in the app, got a text that my order has been handed over to me. Stay away from this scam, just go in store for pickup. Time wasted, pathetic customer service. Quarto from customer service said that there is no one checked in for pickup, my app shows that I’m checked in. Horrible"
"Best Buy Woodbridge. This is your chance to make it right. I pre-ordered the Spider-Man PS5. I went to pick it up and the Box was significantly damaged. I asked the associates to swap it out with another one and they refused. This is a collectors item to me. With my prior experience in retail I know how these items are delivered. The day time manager at your store told me UPS damaged it. If UPS had damaged it, your store wouldn't have accepted the product. This at the end of the day was a simple fix. Replace the item, I had pre-ordered and purchased, and swap it with an undamaged product. I'm asking you to contact me and make this right."
"Eh. I came here to pick up a printer I purchased online for in-store pick-up. I had a Hewlett Packard (HP) printer that worked fine for years and then, just suddenly died, like out of nowhere. I went online to troubleshoot the issue and coincidentally, a bunch of other owners of the exact same model were having the exact same issue the year prior. One owner that worked in tech claimed that the units were likely hard wired to die given everyone's was dying at the exact same time. Its how the big company's keep the landfills full and us coming back to them over and over again. At any rate, so I was in the market for a new printer and I picked mine up here. What I really like about this Best Buy - in case you didn't know - they take a lot of recyclable stuff, printers included. They have this huge sustainable initiative that is impressive. So, I pull up into one of the parking spaces allocated for customers picking up orders. I try to log in online to let the store know I was there. The website kept giving me issues, so that was annoying. I finally figured out a way to back door their app interface. A young kid - totally Gen Z - comes out, places the new printer in the backseat. I asked if he could take the old printer that he had to move out of the way to put the new printer back there. Nope. Just like that. You can do it yourself, he said. Okay. So, I pull my car up to the front door, put on the hazard lights, run in. The counter where you drop the recyclable equipment off is right near the door, so that was convenient. I can't really complain, because Best Buy is doing me a favor by taking it to begin with. As I was pulling away, I noticed two things. One, there was a police presence there. Hmm... not sure if the cop car was to deter theft or what. Two, there was a section at the end of the building that cars were pulling into, so I am assuming they install car radios or technical equipment in one's vehicle's. Not sure. Would I come back here? Maybe, but only if I could avoid the Gen Z employee that lacks any customer service, I would just order what I need online and have them send it to my house. If not, I'd just go to Amazon. I believe they price match, so its not worth the hassle or the 'tude."
