"I booked a haircut for my daughter, and I asked how much the cut would be for her long straight hair. I was quoted a very reasonable price. After the 30 min haircut and blow dry, I was charged more than 60% more because her hair was “so long”. Absurd. Will not be returning."

"We will not be returning to Avalanche. My daughter burst into tears in the car because the stylist botched her hair so badly. We called to complain and they told us that my daughters hair wasn’t uneven the stylist just diffused her hair. No, her hair is incredibly uneven. My daughter diffuses her hair several times a week and never once has it looked like a $10 haircut where someone just closed their eyes while cutting away The stylist solution was to bring my daughter back in and she would straighten her hair to show it wasn’t uneven. Trust me it’s uneven. She has a chunk missing on one side, a dog tail down the middle and short layers under her longer hair which was also cut shorter than desired. At no point was a refund, a partial refund, a product gift card offered. Absolutely nothing but we are sorry she doesn’t like her hair. Obviously we weren’t going to have the stylist “fix” it for fear that she’d make it worse. So we just wasted $60 of our hard earned money on a hot mess that I’m going to have to pay to get fixed elsewhere. My daughter didn’t want to lose over 5 inches of her hair, she wanted long layers and to keep her length. The only way to fix it is to come up to the ridiculously short chunk on the one side. Clearly anyone looking at the pictures can see how horribly uneven it is. Shame on you Avalanche for your unprofessional response to your mistake."
