"This restaurant was such a surprise! Though the strip mall it’s located in is unassuming, the inside of Dim Sum Mania is super cute and well decorated! I loved that they served us complimentary hot tea with our waters. The food was phenomenal. We ordered the pork soup dumplings, pork and chive steamed dumplings, beef fried rice, and Shanghai bok choy. Highly recommend!!"
"I disagree with Eleni and Ina this dim sum place is excellent and a great addition to the area.... it is very authentic, nothing was too salty , and better than the average Flushing or Mott Street dim sum place and certainly better than anything in Philly Chinatown. for example they have Shanghai stir-fried rice cakes almost impossible to find in any regular dim sum place (one or two places in Cambridge Massachusetts and Pittsburgh and none in Philly), lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice I defy you to find sticky rice anywhere nine out of 10 Thai restaurants don't even have sticky rice in this area , and the seaweed egg soup was a revelation , the mushroom dim sum was fire .we had several different dim sums as well as a couple of Chinese American standards the dim sums were phenomenal the Chinese American was decent, the soup was one of the best I've ever had the flavor and texture was stellar. top to bottom the service was hospitable and the vibe was fun. you just can't beat it on swedesford road now I just hope the quality holds up over time"
"Dumplings are fine as they are usually pre-made, but the wonton soup and dry pot chicken are way too salty, as if the salt jar was tipped over and all the salt fell into the dishes. It’s unacceptably salty. Putting the unhealthy sodium level aside, it’s a decent dim sum place. Not super authentic but acceptable."
"Food is hit or miss depending on the dish you order. The dimsum was a little disappointing, but the normal dishes were really tasty. I recommend the west lake soup, the shredded beef with green hot pepper, and the tripe in chili oil. We also ordered some other dishes to try: crystal shrimp (lacked flavor), wonton in chili sauce (too sweet for whatever reason) Soup Dumpling Review: The crab is not worth the extra fee. It only has the bit of crab on top and nothing in the filling. The normal soup dumpling also tasted better but still lacked some umami. The skin was also nice and thin, yet none of the skin broke as we were eating. All in all, I would come back again, but I wouldn't order the dimsum. Which is sad considering the name of this restaurant"
"This new location is an expansion of the one in Media which we frequented for years. Both locations have amazing Chinese food, but this new one has plenty of free parking!"
