The Dime

"Take your money to Grille 3501. Our experience was a mixed bag. The service was decent. Our server was very nice. Polite and well-mannered (Stanley). However, the food and drinks did not meet expectations. We waited 15 minutes for drinks, and the Cranberry Old Fashioned I got did not have a cranberry flavor at all. We ordered the brussel sprouts, acancini, calamari, and the burger. We ordered it medium and it came out well-done. See for yourself in the picture. Also, the lettuce was obviously bad. See the pictures. The calamari was a bit chewy and could have been fried better. The star of the night? The brussel sprouts. We didn't even bother with dessert because of how let down we were with the whole experience. Also, we were sat up by the window. Great view! But, it was not very warm. The heat was turned off and it was 23° outside (winter)."

"Service was beyond with our server. She was spectacular. Our appetizer didn't get devoured because our entree came too quickly. Timing needs improvement. Paid for something we didn't get to eat."

"Food was amazing. I had the baby arugula salad, braised spare rib with asparagus and mashed potatoes….outstanding. My friend had the seafood with Risotto…plenty of seafood and the risotto was delicious. Our server was professional, polite and very attentive. We will definitely be dining at The Dime again."

"Really nice location and food was very good. The atmosphere is fantastic and they really put in a lot of work. The barrels and the wine bottles on the wall look very cool. Sadly, the service was not so great. Our server was speaking very soft and I did not understand her at all. But overall a good experience."

"I drove 1 hour to get to The Dime in Allentown, PA as my wife and I enjoy experiencing different dining venues and foods. I called to make a reservation but was put on hold as soon as they picked up the phone. I waited for a good 10 minutes before hanging up and just walked in after finding parking. When I arrived there at around 5pm there was a pretty good crowd in the bar area with a live DJ, Lights and all. I was looking forward for their happy hour drinks before sitting and dining. Unfortunately they told me and my wife that there was a private event at the bar area and only the restaurant menu was available. I asked if we can still order drinks from the bar for happy hour (4p-6pm) I was told we were unable to order from the bar (happy hour cocktails). So we settled for an early dinner and restaurant cocktail menu which didn’t give much options. The vibe was industrial decor and pleasant views from the third floor but nothing to really brag about. Our server “Stacy” was welcoming and friendly plus attentive and hospitable. The food was okay , served large portions and sharable. Drinks were good but nothing wow in my opinion. Not somewhere I would return or even recommend unless you are staying at the attached Renaissance Hotel or going to an event at the PPL Arena. I would not go out of my way again for this place especially since I didn’t feel accommodated for drinks at the bar and felt forced to dine upon arrival. It’s all about how the place makes me feel in my opinion and this place wasn’t a dime for me , no pun intended."
