"We recently had the pleasure of working with Cords for our cabinetry in our new build. We chose to have fully custom Cords Cabinets in our kitchen and pantry and I can honestly say it was the best money we have ever spent. From the initial meeting with our design consultant, Mikayla, to the day of installation we had nothing short of an exceptional experience. Mikayla was always kind, knowledgable, prompt, and most of all patient. She was available always and was a huge help in assisting me with making the hard decisions. The quality of our cabinets is unmatched. Everything is perfect from the finish of the paint to the solid wood, dovetail construction. The cabinet makers proved to have incredible attention to detail and thought of things that I had overlooked. I recommend this company and Mikayla to everyone that will listen!"

"Cabinet quality is good but their pricing and business practices are abysmal. The initial rough estimate was reasonable so we went with Cord’s and put a deposit down. Each time we made any small change the price would jump a lot. When I asked Cord's to break out the costs of the changes so I could understand what caused the sharp price jumps (went up by $3000 once and $7000 once) they refused to provide any details. When I said we weren't moving forward until they provided details they reluctantly gave some confusing details on what changed, never providing costs per cabinet. Each time they provided some partial detail on costs of the changes their response started with "Oh, we found one cabinet was double charged" and they took $600-$800 off and then gave a ridiculous costs for other changes. An example is the gave a $900 credit for 2 wall and base cabinets and charged $3000 for a single double oven cabinet. Another time I found as a small trim piece to make a stacked crown molding caused the price to jump from $600 to $2100 (needless to say we deleted the small extra piece). It was always like pulling teeth to get them to provide ANY pricing breakouts and I had to push hard to get anything because they constantly try to find any way to boost profits significantly. This happened over and over again and it's like pulling teeth getting Cord's to provide pricing details so you can decide for yourself what changes were worth doing and which were not. Not being willing to provide price transparency is a serious red flag for this company as they are constantly trying to drive up their profits on even the simplest change. If you go with Cord's my advice is don't commit to a deposit until you are completely finished your design. Otherwise you will experience the price gouging I experienced. Then when they installed the cabinets they discovered a measurement error where the cabinet run would result in the countertops cutting into the door molding. They tried to blame this on me saying I put on larger molding, which I did not. I ended up have to pay a contractor to narrow the doorway by 3/4" so the countertop wouldn't cut into the molding, and they refused to cover that cost. The pic shows one the base cabinets as installed, where you can see clearly the countertop would extend into the door trim molding. They also jerked us around on installation timing as their sales & design team don't communicate with the shop where they build the cabinets, so once we got far enough in the queue to order wood we found that the shop delayed our installation an extra 6 weeks. Bait & switch on price and installation timing is par for the course with Cord's. Bottom line: Cabinets are good quality but I docked them 3 stars for their unscrupulous pricing & business practices along with an unwillingness to stand behind their measurement errors."
