"Always welcoming and fun environment. All the staff are wonderful and Samantha always makes me feel like a new woman when I leave"
"I Scheduled a new customer appointment for a cut ,color and highlights. My hair cut was uneven and highlights turned out to be very bronze and orange in some areas . I requested my uneven cut needed to be fixed . I paid $250.00 and I was very surprised at the prices. I definitely should have asked about pricing. I never though it would be over what I have paid at other local shops ..$120-$150 was what I usually pay. The stylist was young and very nice but her skills need supervision . My stylist had two employees ask her how she was feeling and by that time I already had color in my hair. I responded for her, she is very sick and I sure hope I don't get sick. I was told she won't breath on me too much . Two days after my appointment I was scheduled to go back and have my uneven cut to be fixed and they were very accommodating to get me in for that . Unfortunately two days after being exposed to a sick stylist I came down with Influenza B . I canceled and I did not go back to even have this situation come to a positive outcome. Be Glossed should have offered me a refund especially since the stylist went to urgent care after she finished with me as her client . I requested the owner call me and she did but I was in bed with a fever for the call and really not up to discussing this visit. So new customers do your homework !!! Ask prices, ask how long the stylist has been with them. Don't assume like I did and end up unhappy. Eileen Vosburg ,Meshoppen Pa."
"Edit: I wasn’t going to go into details about my experience with this unprofessional salon however, due to a lot of misinformation I will tell my side of the story. On June 12th, I was informed by the one and ONLY previous salon that I booked that she was cancelling my booking because “we were not a good fit”, I wanted to do my liquid eyeliner as I do it a certain way and I didn’t like how they did it with gel. So I called be glossed because my sister in law had an appointment to do her hair. I scheduled ONE appointment on July 1st at 2, I showed up ON TIME with my fiancé, the girl did my hair which took not even 20-30 minutes. She then told me to have a seat as the makeup artist was not ready. I waited 11/2 - 2 hours to have my makeup done because they put the makeup bag in the room, where another lady was getting waxed or massaged. I was not rude to the staff what so ever at this appointment. The women didn’t have the proper equipment to do my makeup with a silver liquid liner as requested, so I sent my fiancé to Walmart to pick one up. She used my own makeup, at my request, because she didn’t have a liquid liner which I understood because of contamination. I left a 15-20% tip on said services even after waiting two hours to get my makeup done. On the date of my first wedding July 21, I informed the girls that did go (5 women) that I would be late to the appointment as I had to do a religious ceremony that went over time and I have to drive from Mount Pocono to Tunkhannock. I told them that by through my girls that and they said they understand and that the absolute latest they can get us in is 11:30. Then the salon called me as as we are driving down. It was Becky, the owner. She started the conversations verbatim “can I ask you why you didn’t make it to your appointment today” which a tone and I stated “I apologize for being late but I had some religious ceremonies that I couldn’t skip the day of my wedding that I didn’t plan on running late.” She then stated “well I think what you did was rude and disrespectful. And I don’t know if we will continue services tomorrow because of what you did today“ she states I would like to point out that she claims I am rude and inconsiderate but then continues to berate a bride on her wedding day. I then responded with “I understand where you are coming from and you need to put the needs of your employees first, so do what you feel is best as I am also a business owner so I understand”. She continued to tell me how dosrespectful I am so do this to her girls and yell at me over the phone so my maid of honor grabbed the phone from me and tells her that I didn’t make the appointment and to call the person who did instead of the bride and said okay, so take walk ins to make up the money if you don’t want to do our hair and makeup. She then says that she will not be doing our services because I am rude and disrespectful, to be late and thats when my MOH yelled at her and said that she’ll have her friend do it then. That day and the next I ended up doing my own makeup. Moral of the story is that THE OWNER called me on my wedding day to berate me because I was going to be late. I’d like to note that they also still ended up doing the hair and makeup of 5 people in my bridal party for both days."
"I was scheduled for a hair appointment today. I was very specific on the phone when I made the appointment a month ago. I have a wedding in October and wanted to make sure I will like my new color choice before then, so i was very specific as to what i was looking for. I also have extremely curly hair. When I arrived in my 2019 Ram Long Box Dually, there was NO PLACE for me to park. After finally just parking in front of the building, I went in to get started. They lady informs me that she will not have time to do what I am asking for. I was only scheduled for 2 hours for a basic color, and that what I am asking for is highlights. Again, I was VERY SPECIFIC on the phone when I made the appointment. She then had the audacity to ask if I wanted to reschedule. Seriously, like I would reschedule. I have been getting my hair done all across the country for 30+ years. I know how long it takes to foil and tone my hair. The longest I have ever been in a chair is 2.5 hours. I give this a 0 out of 10 do not recommend. And to add to this my daughter in law called them the day after I did to make an appointment and they still have not returned her call. I'm going to Shabby Shek who called me back immediately and got me in on Monday! Review Edit: The owner of the salon called me to apologize for the situation and asked me if there was anything she could do to make it right. Unfortunately, I do not want to go back, but I appreciate that she was willing to do so for her business. She was not there at the time because she was at a doctor's appointment, so it was no fault of her own and she has had a discussion with her staff. I am changing my star review only because she was willing to make it right."
