"My boyfriend and I stopped here for lunch a few minutes ago. He ordered a taco bowl (with beef for the meat) and I ordered the beef tacos. We got an order of chips and queso to share. I didn’t set high expectations, yet we are still both very disappointed. The meat had no seasoning/flavor, neither did the pico de gallo, or the queso. Normally, queso has chopped peppers and red onions in it. But the queso tasted like melted velveta cheese that wasn’t even warm. Much more to say about the disappointing food and service, but it just isn’t worth my time. If you want friendly served food that is flavorful and warm, I would highly suggest eating elsewhere. I hate having to leave reviews like this, because I’m normally easily satisfied, but this experience was entirely horrible."
"Outstanding pork tacos. All of the ingredients were fresh, the interior of the restaurant was clean and the people behind the counter were friendly. It's good Mexican food a few minutes north of Scranton and well worth a drive whenever the cravings hit."
"If you haven't visited Loco Hombre then you're missing out! I highly recommend the shrimp burrito in a taco shell bowl, and the fried ice cream for dessert. Make sure you have someone to share the fried ice cream with - it's gigantic. Overall, fantastic food, friendly staff, and fair prices."
"Subway meets Chipotle's, and not close to either in options. We were only people in restaurant, eating, on Saturday about 5pm. One person came for takeout. The individual preparing our food, lacked eye contact, had a monotone voice and didn't smile once. After we were seated, she spoke antimately with another individual working there. I felt like we were interupting her day. The food portions were decent, but lacked the blendabilty, overall in taste. The price for 2 meals with bottled soda was close to $30, which is about $10 more than it should be. The location will be the killing blow to this restaurant. It's attached to a Sherwin Williams paint store & visibility to the road is very limited."
