Reviews of Giving Pond
"Picnic areas overgrown grass and picnic tables in extremely poor condition. Trails also needed mowing. I walked the trail, which parallels River Road, so it was quite noisy. I was there for 1st time to do some bird photography but left after 1 hour because the mosquitoes were really bad. (But that was my fault for not being properly prepared). I'll visit another time but hopefully find an access point for the trails on the opposite side of the pond."
"Great place to chillex. It is a nice place for hiking, birding, picnicking and fishing. Non-motorized boats allowed, but no swimming! There is a ton of nature including deer, fox, and assortment of songbirds and waterfowl even a few bald eagles. Weekends can be problematic because of the limited parking and tickets will be issued if you dont park in a designated parking area. Port-o-potty is available."
"Nice walk, my dog had a couple of good swims, plenty of parking. Seems good for small boating, nice quarry reservoir. I didn't notice any surface algae blooms. Bring lots of insect spray. They tried to carry us away this morning."
"Beautiful place with gorgeous views. Picnic tables and grills nearby to the lake that’s perfect for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. Plenty of wildlife including many turtles. Fair amount of parking and typically not too busy. A hidden gem!"
"What a beautiful place to kayak/canoe! Doesn't appear to be a crowded spot. Fishing is great. Some nice picnic tables. Great place to bring kids fishing."
