"Let me first say I have been going to Hummel's since I was in 7th grade growing up right outside of Lenhartsville. I was also in the restaurant business for 30+ years. It saddens me to say that the place that I have such fond memories of walking into town just to get a cheeseburger and a milkshake from, has fell into the same mentality as most corporate casual dining establishments have fallen into......profit over product. Let me explain. My wife and I both ordered the crabcake sandwich platter for 10.00, it came on a regular size bun but the crabcake was half the size of the bun, and only came with a side of chips. My unsweetened tea was far the worst tasting tea I have ever had, not to mention the cost of 3.59. The house salad, which was an upcharge for replacing the chips consisted of iceberg lettuce, about 4 cherry tomatoes and croutons with a 2oz souffle of dressing. My wife got a side of French fries as an upcharge for her chips. So for 2 crabcake sandwiches a very plain house salad, an order of French fries and two drinks our total was just shy of 49 dollars and some change. The staff are very friendly and provide a comfortable atmosphere , but I believe that will be my last visit to the place I was so fond of as a cjild."

"We had our wedding there June 17th it's was one of the best days! We had the privilege of working with Ashley that day she did such an amazing job! I wasn't stressed at all, she and her staff handed everything from the start of the day till the end. My husband and I couldn't have picked a better place to have our wedding! If I had any questions they answered them in a very timely manner via phone or email. Never once seemed frustrated or made me feel bad for any questions or concerns I had. The whole team was amazing from the day we went to look at the venue, it was a very easy decision to choose Hummels. Thank you so much to Ashley and the whole team for making our wedding day so special!"

"Janelle and the rest of the staff are absolutely wonderful. They were responsive and answered all of our questions promptly prior to the wedding. They assisted us the day of as well to see that everything ran smoothly. We had 100 guests at our wedding, but they have capacity for much more than that. We had our ceremony inside for our February 29th wedding, but the outdoor space is beautiful if your having a spring, summer, or fall wedding. The property offers a lot of great photo spaces as well. The food was delicious and we got a lot of compliments on it!! It was done as a buffet, and there are plenty of options to choose from. We are so please with all the hard work everyone at the venue put into our special day! It is an absolutely beautiful venue for a rustic style wedding. My husband and I actually met at Hummel's at a wedding 5 years prior, so it just felt right having our own wedding there."
