"I confess.  I haven't been to a regular hair stylist in over a year.  I do have a good reason why but that's another story. So, in the meantime, I've been using Groupon as my shopping guide as I search for permanency in the salon department. Some basic information about the salon... 'Tranquility' is the 4th salon on my 'make a commitment' tour.  Cute, cozy, and located right off Rt.22 in Murrysville, just past Sheetz.  If you're like me, then you also enjoy the 'down time' aspect of going to the salon, when you finally get a piece of some peace and quiet.  And welcoming, run by a smart, inspirational woman, Jamie, with decades of experience.  Well how smart is this 'Jamie'?  Smart enough to realize that, sometimes change, although scary, is a beautiful thing.  And so Jamie, after successfully running her own large, lavish salon/spa for many years, decided to change her original business model. So she downsized... everything...every last thing.  From the salon itself to the amount of hairpins typically kept in inventory. Currently, Jamie runs her salon 'Tranquility'  on a smaller scale than the original.  She proudly shares that she enjoys having the extra time to focus on her clients. My experience... My Groupon promises a cut, style, and full head of highlights at a price that is a quarter of what I pay under normal circumstances.  I've had these services before, just at other salons. The wording was even identical on all 4 Groupon vouchers, 'full head of highlights'. The difference?  The end result. Which is no big surprise.  But at 'Tranquility', I am definitely seeing something in the mirror that I didn't see before.  A HUGE SMILE. Ohhhhh yes, you heard me right. Jamie did all that I asked, she cut off about 6 inches, thinned out my hair, cut some layers around my face, and as for highlights... never before have I seen such an amazing job done on my highlights.  Speechless!!!  The color, perfect.  The coverage, perfect.  The amount, perfect.  I'm booked for an appointment in 6 weeks.  The tour was a success. Tranquility is my choice."

"I got a Groupon for a full set of lash extensions. This was the first time I had ever gotten them so I had no idea how bad my experience was until I went and gotten them done elsewhere. They lady who did them was nice but she kept opening my eyes and this resulted in the glue burning my eyes. It was absolutely terrible experience. You aren’t supposed to open your eyes at all. The glue is very agitating to your eyes. The girl just kept telling me that was normal since I had never gotten them before. That was not normal. The results were terrible. Completely unnoticeable but I wasn’t going to have her fix them because I was terrified after that experience."
