Reviews of Archibald Johnston Conservation Area
"This park is very natural and beautiful. It is full of a great variety of birds. The walking trails are easy and well marked. It was very quiet and serene when we visited mid afternoon."
"Nice historic site, lots of land, nice creek & trails to hike, highly recommend."
"Great place to watch the wildlife, see some history, enjoy a cup of coffee, and even catch a train or two."
"I could spend all day exploring this property & just walking around enjoying nature. It's such a beautiful property and a cool place to check out, get some exercise & fresh air. I wish I could travel back in time to see what it looked like years ago when the original owners lived there. The property's history is very interesting and I highly recommend to anyone who goes there to read up on the history. I think knowing how a historical site was built/created, what it was used for, when it was made, etc, helps to appreciate it much more. There's a wide variety of nature: birds, fish, turtles, deer, groundhogs, muskrats, snakes, crayfish, insects, amphibians (frogs, salamanders, toad), etc."
"An absolutely perfect place for a walk. We went on a Saturday afternoon and barely encountered anyone! Lots of historic sights to see and wonderful views!"
