Reviews of The Sequel
"Wanted to try this place out and was not disappointed. The food was great quality and tasty. The staff was accommodating. Big menu with plenty of options, but no fun desserts (except plain cheesecake with strawberries) Currently a BYOB with a corking fee. Heard they were working on the liquor license."
"Was tired of the same old same old So Took a chance after seeing The sign. And So Glad we Did! The Food was Top Notch Chicken Parm, Chicken Fettuccine, deep fried Deviled eggs, and Son had the Best Looking Burger I've ever seen.. Ya I said it And here's a picture to prove it! Our New Favorite Spot!"
"3.5/5 stars. Food was overall pretty good. My biggest issue is I feel like this place doesn’t know what it’s trying to be. For instance, we got the deviled eggs appetizer which was really well plated and delicious. They have several more “upscale” meals like seafood pasta, steak, etc. However, the atmosphere does not seem to match the menu. The interior feels like someone’s home, staff are in mismatched T shirts, silverware is thin/flimsy. It’s just a weird vibe. Is it a casual place or are they trying to target mid-upper dining? They also have a 4% surcharge for credit cards, so be prepared to bring cash. They are BYOB only, despite having a physical bar space. Not sure if we’ll be back or not. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which was a plus and seemed family friendly."
"My bf and I stopped by here for dinner. I honestly never knew there was a restaurant back in this location. Ever. Upon walking in, it really didn't have much of any type of atmosphere. Just like a bunch of tables set randomly in various open spaces with bare minimum decor. Our waitress was very nice and so was the staff. The chef came out and even asked how our meal was. I had the stuffed pepper soup as my appetizer. It was good for the most part but seemed to be lacking on seasoning. My bf tried it and said he thought it was lacking bay leaves flavoring. For the main course, I ordered the Creamy Cajun Chicken pasta. It was well presented. But my critique is that it needed more sauce as it was too dry. It also needed more Cajun seasoning. I do not like a lot of things spicy, so for me to say it needed more spice says something. I could taste a LITTLE spice, just not where it should have been flavor wise. I couldn't finish my meal because I was full, and when I was packing the leftovers, I found a singular grape tomato at the bottom of the bowl, sliced in half. Not exactly sure if that was a mistake or not, but if it was supposed to be in the dish, there should be more than ONE singular halved tomato added. My bf had the potato soup which was very flavorful and seemed to be on point. For his main entree, he ordered the Gnocchi & Sausage with Rose sauce. To me the sauce was VERY off-putting. I did not like it at all. He didn't feel great about it either. It was a unique taste, definitely was florally. Also, upon paying at the end, I was given an option of a cash price vs credit card price. They charge a fee to use a card to pay for your meal. I don't return to establishments that use this practice. It's part of doing business that there are fees. Reflect them in your menu or otherwise elsewhere. Not in my final bill. Not the greatest experience and probably will not return."
"Very welcoming place. Waiter was attentive and fantastic....I can't recall his name. The "balls" did not disappoint! They were HUGE and delicious! Food was great...service was even better! Never went empty on a drink and the waiter came and checked on us instantly to make sure our food was perfect! I got a buffalo chicken wrap with fries! It was AMAZING! Atmosphere felt very welcoming! Must try place!"
