"Okay, "don't judge a book by it's cover" definitely applies to Ross's. You'll pull up and wonder whether the place is open to the public or is simply a distribution center. After backing up to the loading dock, passing the clowder of rodent-erradicating (but friendly) guard cats, and entering the office/store, Ross's looks and smells like a true old-school feed store should... if you're even remotely rural and/or ever experienced a real, country feed store, you'll know what I mean. While Ross's doesn't offer all the fare that another well-known "supply" store offers, Ross's (which only takes cash or check) is local family-owned business and more than makes up for it in service (the owner and staff are knowledgeable and very friendly), feed quality, and prices. The owner even turned on the "animal conveyor" against the wall for me. Stop in. If nothing else, it's worth stepping back in time and seeing/experiencing a real feed store for yourself. As for me, Ross's has a return customer."
"The people here work very hard & are polite to me everyday. I go here for coffee everyday & will go no where else because of these good people. Am retired & enjoy the respect I get & help when needed...yes...a great place to go. They all deserve raises especially Scott the mngr., he never seems to stop & keeps that place running like a well oiled machine! Yes...a good place to go."
