"Love visiting here during fall and winter to see the 2 waterfalls!"
"I love it here. However, I didn't love the folks from out of town using the bike trail as a picnic ground. There were like 50 people clogging up the trail throwing baseballs and footballs, they had a domino table, grills, etc. I don't think this is what this area is designed for. And I am guessing this was a group of folks rerouted because Beltsville was at capacity, but either way I hope this doesn't become the norm."
"Great place to see two waterfalls in easy walking distance of one another. The parking is at the top of the hill on busier days. The road to the trial is short but steep. If you are traveling with older persons you can ask the Ranger if you can drop them off at the bottom and then park your car up top. You will walk down the hill from the parking and can walk left or right to see a waterfall. The distance between the two is no big deal, 5-10 min walk. Buttermilk and Luke falls are both here. The trail is part of the Lehigh Valley Gorge trail. It is wide and is crushed gravel for easy walking or biking! It was an old train tracks so the grade is very easy to manage even for younger riders. You can ride to the right to get to Jim Thorpe, but it is like 9 miles or so (have to look it up) There is a bathroom to the right. No running water, like a latrine."
"Buttermilk falls and Luke falls can be reached from Rockport Trailhead. It's mesmerizing to listen to the river sound along the Lehigh Gorge trail."
"Walking distance to 3 waterfalls! Beautiful!"
