"Peaceful place. Good place to walk the dogs. Trail goes around the dam, there's a small wooden bridge that goes over the dam. Can also fish there too. They have metal picnic tables w/grills. Park benches all throughout the park."

"After all these years living in the area I made my first visit to Bernharts Dam on Saturday July 27 2019. I rode my bike there so parking was not a problem. I enjoy being around bodies of water and this to me was very relaxing. The only living creatures I saw were a duck, a swan, and a young man fishing by the dam. The water looked nasty but didn't smell too bad. That didn't matter because I was not planning on a swim. There is a walking trail along the lake with some benches there if you want to sit and enjoy the peace & quiet. I would like to come back in the fall when it will be cooler and more colorful. I don't know if there is parking available. The water falls is really neat and there are great views from the top of the dam. Discover this hidden treasure when you're in the area. You'll be glad you did."
