Reviews
"Let’s start with how efficient they are from checking to the rental’s of all the equipment. The staff are amazing and friendly. Ok enough of that let’s talk about Sharisa and how amazing she is. My friend’s son Lost his phone on the hill at the end of the night. She literally without hesitation took my friend’s phone went up the hill and went down the slope looking for his phone. This was all when the slopes were closed. And everyone was already closing for the night. What amazing customer service."
"Great place for Skiing... Excellent facility.. Super Clean and restaurant is also good.. Nice food choices.. Live Band was awesome to relax at the end of the day.."
"Update: now under the umbrella of Vail resorts, changes have been mixed. Some lifts have closed and others consolidated, but snowmaking seems more aggressive. More of a corporate mountain feel and less of a small independent mini-european ski area like in years past, but the rest of my original review stands. Beautiful scenery over the lake in winter. -- For what it is, Big Boulder is a staple classic Poconos ski area. It's a relatively small mountain, but it's got enough terrain to satisfy expert skiers for a day on the mountain. Snowmaking and night skiing round out the experience to ensure you'll be able to get your runs in. Four stars because it tends to fill up easily and quickly on busy weekends, and trail closures for the race program can occasionally be annoying, but they're also fun to watch. Food is expensive and limited. Lifts are slow but the small mountain means it's tolerable. Overall good experience every time."
"Definitely had a great time. Was not to cold, up on the mountain. Staff was great, chairlift ride up was nice. The price wasn't to bad, especially with all the fun we had. I would definitely go back to big Boulder and ski again. Night time skiing was fun and a lot less crowded. Better for beginner skiers."
"Went yesterday for the first time, all of the staff we interacted with were super nice. I can't say too much about the *conditions* as I have no other knowledge to compare to. Tubes were all in great shape. Conveyor was great. A little sketchy but that could just be me. My only complaint is a security guard of some sort should be at the top of the tubing hill. Employees were getting in trouble for people walking down the emergency trail, but there was literally nothing they could do as they were busy trying to keep the lines moving up top. Groups would cut the line as their party made their way back up. So we went from having 6 people in front of us, to 10 at one point. This is a management issue at the end of the day. We will probably be back, maybe during the day during the week. We got to go down 4 times in the 2 hour window due to the lanes being cut down, which assuming can't really be controlled due to conditions."
