"Attended a small luncheon for about 12 people in a reserved dining room. First, party was to start at 1pm. Arrived shortly before 1pm and door is locked and no lights showing through the windows. They didn't bother to unlock the door until someone called the number listed on their website. Meanwhile, everyone had to stand outside and this turns out to not be a good neighborhood. BTW, you can either park on the street or in the DG parking lot. Once the door was unlocked, the guy disappeared and we had to wander around through various dining/bar areas and figure out where we were to dine. The entire time we were in the restaurant we only saw two staff and no one else. The decor is very old and dated. Fortunately the restroom was clean. We found a room that had a buffet set up so we assumed (correctly) that we could be seated. We had salad, fried chicken, ham, potatoes and veggies. The food was mediocre and only somewhat warm. Dessert was slices of various cheesecake. Between the sketchy neighborhood, the locked 'restaurant', no parking, mediocre food, etc. I cannot recommend this place. This place was chosen based on the previous good reviews, but none of us could understand how they were earned. The 3 stars I gave them is quite generous."
"This is not a review; this place has been closed for quite some time. Unsure why it has not been deleted."
"It was good. The service was kind of slow but the lady was running the bar as well as the restaurant all by herself. So I know her time was stretched thin. I had the chicken Neptune that came with two pieces of chicken, shrimp, and scallops in this amazing cream sauce. Actually that cream sauce is what made my whole visit. I wish I could just make that up with some pasta and shrimp LOL. But that dish has changed a little bit over the years. That used to have more components. it is still delicious. However, for people who have been coming for years it has to be a slight disappointment how many times something is removed from that dish. And that is why I gave it three stars because when I first started coming to this restaurant years ago they were doing things like giving you sorbet to clean your palate in between courses, offering fresh Wild game throughout the week, and so on. And I understand that food cost can be very high and if your business is not that busy you have to adjust your menu. It just sucks because this was once a restaurant I felt I couldn't afford. And now it's one that's not much of a second thought. Also I feel like the presentation of the dishes could be a little bit better. The Neptune was amazing but I think it will look even more amazing if it was plated differently. The two little sides that they put in little cups on the table just didn't compliment the dish the way you really wanted it to."
"First time here with Groupon. They were very busy & we didn’t have a reservation. Food was amazing. I had the mushroom soup & chicken Louisiana. The chicken is spicy but they will accommodate your spice preference on a scale of 1-5. It was perfect. My husband got the chicken scallopini and it was very good as well. The server was very nice & apologized for the wait due to being so busy. The food was worth the wait. Highly recommend as well as making a reservation unless you don't mind waiting on your food."
"Usually order the chicken alfredo with spinach, they must have a new Chef because it was very bland. I ordered it with penne pasta and got angel hair pasta. The service is very slow and it is extremely cold. There needs to be more heat in the sun room when the temp. is cold outside which made the meal very uncomfortable Was there two hours and by the end of the two hours the temp. was starting to get more comfortable. On the positive, for the price the portion of the meal was quite plentiful. Everyone at the table ended up getting to go boxes for left overs. A glass of wine costs $7.50 but it is a full glass not a quarter glass of wine. This visit was disappointing compared to the previous years I have had dinner here around the same time if year. Will probably be looking for a new venue next year."
