Fix Me a Plate Southern BBQ

"Not at all what I expected. The ribs were the best thing in my order. Great flavor and tenderness. The sides I got (string beans, mac & cheese, sweet potatoes) were above average. But my disappointment came with the brisket.....gray, no smoke ring or smoke flavor, tough, no juices, minimally rendered fat and just bad. It tasted like it was lightly seasoned and cooked in the oven. If you are going to put brisket on the menu, at least TRY to get it right. And the price for the brisket was even more of a disappointment - $25 w/ 2 sides is joke for how it was prepared. I'm hoping it was just a bad day for them because I've heard nothing but great things about the food, but I'm not going to lie about my experience. The service was great though. From the young guy (that you can tell was learning) that took my order, to the lady that put my order together. Both very pleasant and welcoming. Good Luck going forward."

"I heard about the new restaurant, My friend Pam and I went today for dinner. We got to sample some of the food. Staff was nice and friendly. I had the 3 St Louis Style rib entree with collard greens and yams was a extra side and piece of cornbread. For this to be a barbecue place the ribs didn't taste BBQed on the grill more like cooked inside on a grill no barbecue flavor at all. Also pricey $20.80"

"I walked in and was immediately greeted with a smile. The atmosphere was warm, the menu was extensive and had a great variety of offerings. I ordered a two meat entree with ribs and friend chicken wings, a pork chop dinner with greens and mac n cheese. The food was fresh and hot. Everything was delicious and I will definitely return for more. Thank you Fix me a plate."

"The staff was very pleasant, explained the menu thoroughly. The ribs fell right off the bone, the greens speak for themselves and the yams were so succulent .The desserts are like “your mama’s homemade recipe “. And the prices are reasonable."

"I wouldn’t eat here again unless they either cut the prices in half or doubled the portions. My total for two was 55 dollars for what you see in the picture. Everything was cold, they forgot two sides from our order, and the service was mediocre at best. One of the worst first impressions. Please try harder for the next person to walk through your doors."
