Carnivores

"I've lived in the Verona area my entire lifetime (56yrs) and I've been here 1x. So the only time i visited was because my son turned 21 and wanted to go for a first legal drink and some dinner. The atmosphere here I think causes some anxiety for people who want to have a somewhat private time. There's no privacy at all. As a matter of fact it's completely open and they have these televisions hanging all over the place and they do a trivia game on them. So there's people from every angle looking at these screens and seemingly watching you at your table while your trying to have a good time with your group. It's just not my type of environment I like when I go out to eat/drink. So that said we ordered and appetizer and main course and we had some adult beverages too. The appetizer came out and 2 minutes later the main course. We didn't even get to enjoy the appetizer and they clearing space for the other food. Another annoying thing for anyone eating out. Overall I thing the menu could be trimmed down and the food we had was just average at best. I wouldn't go back for anything they have. The only impression I got was "another sports bar""

"Stopped by for a few drinks late on a Saturday. Service was fantastic, beer selection was ridiculously good, apps were yummy! People sitting near us at the bar were regulars and really nice and welcoming."

"Overall the restaurant is very modern, loved the design with the color scheme. Very warm. I have a suggestion to put a pole with a sign that says seat yourself. We stood there for a couple minutes not knowing what to do and nobody to tell us. Food was decent. I went for the wings and was a little disappointed compared to other restaurants that do wing night. They were overcooked. My gf got the wedding soup and said it was really good."

"Average sports bar that could use a Bar Rescue by Jon Taffer. Menu is large and could be tamed down. Descriptions of menu items sound better than the food actually is. Food is good enough but not worth another try for me. (I've been there twice so far and had take out once.) Carnivores seems to do well mainly because of the bar and the fact that Oakmont is a large neighborhood with young professionals and families looking to dine out and in the immediate area there are few options. Staff could be more attentive and certainly friendlier."
