Reviews of Foster House II
"Waited over a hour for a sandwich and it wasn't busy when we ordered. When the order finally came it was wrong and cold. Was very disappointed as this used to be a great place to eat."
"King sandwiches are better than other places. Coleslaw is creamier, fries are crinkle cut, both elevate the sandwich. Service was good."
"The king sandwiches are amazing! I've been a customer of the Foster House for many years. Many people were worried that the food quality wouldn't be the same when they moved to a knew location. That definitely wasn't that case with the King sandwich. The wings are a totally different story. They were still good after the move, but lately (past couple years) they have progressively gotten worse. The sauce flavor varies from week to week, but one thing has been very consistent lately. The wings are being served COLD. We have always gotten to the Foster House plenty early to get an order in before the serving time. We recently asked the cook, "why are the wings coming out so cold"? He proceeded to tell us that he was "told by the owner" to pre-cook them an hour or so before the serving time. He then told us that they are not reheated or dropped back in the fryer before serving. He basically has them sitting on the counter for an hour or so and then puts the inconsistent sauce over them. We have heard if you order later in the evening, you can get them fresh out of the fryer. I will definitely still have a King sandwich here and there, but unless the wings change (especially the temperature) my Thursday wing nights are OVER. This is not only my opinion, but the same thing goes for the group that I often attended wing night with. The OWERS need to see that they are losing Thursday customers. It was obviously less crowded the last time I was there."
"Are you missing middle school cafeteria pizza? We found it !! We decided to give this place one more try. Last time, the food was just ok. Parking lot was packed. We walked in, no idea if we were to seat ourselves or not, so we finally flagged down a waitress and asked. Seat yourself. A sign would alleviate this... Very confused by this pizza. Menu says they sell pizza by the slice ... $3.50 each??... and also by 1/2 tray, which claims to be 3 slices, and full tray, which claims to be 6 slices. This was a full tray, but is way more than 6? Even the waitress told us she wasn't sure how the toppings were priced, it seems like an extra $3 per topping on a full tray? We just went with pepperoni. Took a looooong time and then we got this tasteless school cafeteria food with artificial cheese. Very disappointed. Also, we helped a young man trying to play pool as the pool tables have very odd mechanics, and we had to keep going to the bar to ask more questions about how it works, as the young man's father was MIA at the bar. AGAIN, some signage to tell you how to add the quarters would be great. Some slots take 2 quarters, others take one. Weird! One table ate his 8 quarters. The bar staff did give us 8 quarters to give to him, but no one volunteered to come to the tables to help, seemingly content with us trying to help him. So we did our good deed for the day and didn't mind the pizza getting cold, because it was just gross. It's also cash only, which is a tiny line of print on the door. They offer an ATM, but again.... signage???? We're done with them. No idea of the appeal."
