"Sooo imma just say I was a big fan… first time back since they opened up New location But was definitely disappointed in the the quality of my food I spent a nice penny on like 9 burria tacos and I got the testones ..I drove 12 miles to get here and the food was so over cooked and burnt I couldn’t even tell you what the food taste like .. the cheese was burnt and testones were hard as a rock ..all it was was crunch .. I’m going to have to give 3 stars I was so upset .. spend my hard earn money and wasn’t not worth the drive they were better when they were on 5 th Ave .. since I traveled so far for this experience I will not be back"
"Hands down some of the best Puerto Rican food I've had in YEARS. The tostones and Yuca fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned and I could have eaten 2 more helpings. The pernil was to die for and the people were so nice! Can't wait to get it again!"
"The culinary experience was nothing short of perfection! The mofongo and birria were absolute delights, delivering an authentic representation of Puerto Rican cuisine that whisked us away to the vibrant flavors of the island. This place comes highly recommended, not only for its delectable dishes but also for the incredibly friendly staff who create a lively and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the entire ordering process. 10/10!!!"
"The food is definitely incredible. I used to come here a lot about a year ago, but I've been trying to try as many new places as possible, which is why I haven't been back in a while. I've been craving their food recently, and since they close at 7 pm, it was a good day to order. I tried their rellenos de papas, pastelitos/empanadas, BYO small bowl with maduros, pollo guisado, rice, and peas, as well as the tres leches. The best food on the menu is the steak I had a while back. It's seriously some of the best steak in the city. And the price is great as well. Compared to that steak, even the more expensive steakhouses can be put to shame. Still, I want to try other items on their menu as well. The BYO small bowl is a pretty great deal. The portion isn't really small; it's enough for a solid meal. The price is right, too. The plantains are sooo good! Probably the best, and definitely one of the best, plantain dishes I've had. The rice and peas is pretty good, but somewhat standard. Pollo guisado is also tasty, and the chicken has a nice texture. There are quite a bit of potatoes. Although the food was very good, I'm still wishing I got the steak again. The empanada was also quite tasty. It's larger than at most places and quite crispy. There's a beef and chicken option, and I chose chicken. It was still moist and flavorful on the inside. Overall, very solid. The papas rellenos (first time trying them) were also quite good. There's not that much meat, but the potato outside is flavorful and quite creamy. I especially like the outer shell. Their tres leches is delicious. You can tell it's homemade. There's a generous dusting of cinnamon on top as well. The cake is light, while also being creamy, sweet, and all around authentic as well as delicious. I couldn't make it in person today, so I ordered online. I will say, it's definitely a lot better to order pickup directly. That way, the prices are decreased significantly (it's almost $7/empanada or papa relleno on Uber Eats, which is quite expensive). All in all, would highly recommend this place. The food is high quality and seems authentic. There's something for nearly everybody. Someday I'll come back for some more of that amazing steak, tres leches, and plantains!"
