Reviews of Olexa Salon & Spa
"Amanda cuts my hair understanding how my unruly hair grows! I receive many compliments now that Amanda cuts my hair! Wonderful experience!"
"I came here almost a year ago. I was initially impressed. At first, it was a good experience. The atmosphere was spa-like and luxurious. The owner was attentive and actually there. It has, unfortunately, devolved. As a client, I feel devalued and unimportant. I have been passed around from one stylist to another (because two have left, and the next was a neophyte.). The latest suddenly developed an allergy to bleach, and the receptionist called me to inform me of this. She wanted to give me to yet another stylist. I wasn’t happy about it, but okay… Well, the fourth stylist wasn’t going to be able to take me for another 6 or 7 weeks. That would be 13 weeks without my roots or highlights being done. THIRTEEN. Not acceptable. Then, they tried to work it so that my third stylist could cut my hair and the newbie would do the color. It was getting ridiculous. Where was the owner/manager of the shop in all this mayhem? How about this: “We are so sorry for this, Barbara. We can have one of our experienced stylists take care of you this week.” (or at an acceptable or agreed upon date.). Where was the salon management is this? IS THERE ANY SALON MANAGER? The thing is, I feel that I’ve been passed around like an unwanted rag doll. Let me say this: I’m always pleasant. I tip very, very well. I don’t give the girls a difficult time, ever. I’m not sure what the issue is here, other than poor management. I honestly think the salon owner has no idea what’s going on in her own shop, so I truly hope she sees this. Between her lack of engagement or presence and the receptionist’s lackadaisical attitude toward me as a client, the emphasis on excellent service is gone. I can no longer recommend this salon."
"My fiance paid for a 90 minute massage as a Valentine's day gift. Previously when I have come, I was offered wine while I waited, only water from the tap this time. We had an appointment, but the previous session ran late, so I had to wait. Finally I get back in the room, which was freezing, undress and the masseuse got started, she seemed like she wasn't in it, I was between her and home. She barely rubbed deep enough to count it as a massage, she finished in about an hour but we still had to pay for the 90 minutes. I was very disappointed but didn't want to make a scene especially since it was a gift. I will choose somewhere else next time though."
"Had an appointment a couple of days ago, and I'm really pleased with the results. Great haircut, great people, great salon! Amanda really understood my hair! The next morning, I facetimed with my daughter (hadn't even looked in a mirror), and she said, "Mum, your hair still looks good!""
"I love Olexa Salon and Spa! Megan and Maddie are truly experts in their craft, and I always leave with a wonderful haircut and blow-out!! The atmosphere is friendly and warm, as the entire staff is hospitable and accommodating. The cost of services is also extremely reasonable for the level of service that you receive."
