Reviews of Oasis Restaurant
"I really like this place, the pizza is very tasty and the owners are truly lovely people. Every time I go in I end of having a long conversation with whoever is at the register and I always walk away feeling so warm. Plus its honestly the best pizza in Lawreneville in my opinion. My only complaint is that they stopped being open for lunch which is when I would usually go since I work in the area. If they started lunch service again it would be my favorite pizza place in Pittsburgh."
"This place is incredible. I tell everyone about it. The food is so yummy and the staff is really great!! I feel very happy to spend my money here as the staff is lovely and the food is so good. Get the chicken ranchero!! Mmmm!!! The pepperoni pizza is really tasty (so long as you're not a wild foodie. Im not super impressed easily either tho so hopefully you'll like it too). The basic side salad I just ordered is delicious too -- their italian house dressing is actually *chefs kiss*. The chicken ranchero hoagies is great too! Personally Id advise against the Philly cheesesteak but this is Pittsburgh so! Last time we got their fries and they were really yummy too. Everything is really good sizes too and good prices -- so make sure you tip the staff more if you can! 10/10. Idk why it's not packed here all the time! Just go already!"
"The buffalo chicken cheesesteak was incredible. The sauce had great flavor and the fresh tomatoes and onion really take the sandwich up another level. I also tried the hibiscus drink which was delicious. You can tell the owners care a lot and the staff was extremely friendly. Definitely check this place out!"
"I've been there twice in the past week, and their food is yummy! I also said that I'd post some photos, and here they are. The owner opened his restaurant where the old "Supreme" Pizza used to be. I'll be frank -- I only ever visited that place once before because it actively didn't live up to it's name. Previously, the food was mediocre at best (which is saying something, because it's *hard* to mess up pizza!) and the building always looked dirty to me. The new owner knew he had his work cut out for him when he began renting and renovating this location. Here's the good news: This place is nice and clean, and the food is good. I've had two of their pizzas now, and it reminds me of having Pesaro's Pizza back...you know, a good, solid neighborhood eatery. I love that Oasis even has eat-in space that I actually want to sit down at. That gives them one-up on Pesaro's! Also, the cheesesteak was tasty, and he has a hibiscus drink that I liked a lot. Very sweet, but also nonstandard. Give it a try! I hope the neighborhood supports the owner. He brings good energy to Lawrenceville and it's a Black-owned business that, in both food offered and culture, makes up for something that's been missing for years here. Go get a pizza (or a hoagie, or a gyro, or a salad...) from Oasis Restaurant and tell them that the friendly repeat customer from around the corner sent you!"
"Ordered to-go. Food was promptly ready when I arrived. Got cheesesteaks and fries. The fries are shoestring, overly salted. Honestly seems far too similar to McDonald’s fries. The look, the excessive salt, the consistency... if these aren’t McDonald’s fries they’ve made a shockingly identical imitation. So I’m not going to include the fries in my rating but I will at least mention them because I think it’s important to note. The Philly cheese steak was awesome. 8/10. Nice size, good amount of meat. Didn’t completely fall apart like some sandwiches. It was very good. Cheesy, meaty, lots of veggies. Decent price. Employee was super nice. I would definitely come here for the sandwiches again."
