"First of all, this place is freezing cold! I don't appreciate having to pay $50 plus a tip for 3 meals and have to keep my coat on the whole time! Went here with my parents for dinner. They ordered fish dinners but we were told they were "out" of fried fish but they had baked fish (ok, so this fried fish must be frozen and not fresh). Baked fish came out with very hot black pepper and lemon seasoning, which my dad tried to smother with tarder sauce. (The menu did not mention seasoning. We were expecting a bread crumb or paprika type seasoning for baked fish like most decent restaurants serve). My burger was very good, that was the only positive thing. Also, we asked for tarder sauce when ordering the food and it wasn't on the tray when it was brought out. I had to go back and stand in a long line just to beg (and yes I felt like I was begging because the lady asked how many I wanted? 1? "Can I have 2?" (I mean duh, there were two fish dinners, how about 1 for each dinner??) Also had to beg for mayo for my hamburger. I will not be back. Armstrongs on the other side of the same shopping center would have been the same price, and I would have been warm without my winter coat and I wouldn't have had to get / beg for things that had been forgotten."
"I ordered delivery from Frisch's, and won't again. The guy on the other end of the phone had some trouble hearing the numbers, but I was happy to wait patiently and repeated my phone number and card numbers multiple times. I was told 30 minutes.. but an hour later, a woman comes to my door. She says that the man who took my order did not receive the correct card numbers and she needed them again.. and proceeds to step inside of my house (?!), which I am incredibly hesitant to and find extremely inappropriate for a delivery carrier. After an uncomfortable few minutes of her on the phone in my doorway, she looks up and asks if I would like to tip. I said absolutely not! Was flabbergasted she even expected me to pay for what was - shockingly - cold and soggy food. I live a five minute drive away from this restaurant. You ask me? There's better fried chicken and service anywhere ten miles of this place."
"We had a family wake at this location in banquet room. Ever thing was delicious the baked fish was to die for. I didn't know had banquet room in back. Very clean and organized. The staff was on the ball and awesome. We will be scheduling our next family function at this place. Will be back for sure. Deserves 5 stars across board. Thank you for making our family's experience a good one. Thank you again."
"Their broasted "fried" chicken is always very good. It makes a great dinner. They have a large case filled with deli meats and cheeses, and a good assortment of deli salads too. We've been going here for many years and it never disappoints."
"When travelling though Ohio and Indiana, I’ve come across Frisch’s Big Boy as a chain of restaurants, so every time I drive by this place, I keep wondering if it was part of the same chain, even though it does not have the same look, and certainly there is no Big Boy holding up a burger in front of it! I finally made a point of stopping in one day and can definitively state that this Frisch’s has nothing in common with those Big Boy outlets! This one is a deli. When you enter the place, you are in front of a standard deli counter with assorted cheeses and meats and you can order them cut to your specifications and taken away. If you go beyond that counter, into the next section of the place, you will enter the actual restaurant which has an order counter and a salad bar. Behind the counter there are a series of blackboards listing the various dishes that they offer as well as one whiteboard standing on the counter with the specials. Most of the dishes are deli style, and they offer hot and cold sandwiches. In my case, I decided on a Cajun Chicken Sandwich and was given the option of what toppings I wanted: Selections of cheeses, lettuce, tomato, onions, etc. You can choose to eat at the place or do takeout. In both cases, you pay at the counter and are given a number on a stand. I went and found a seat at one of the indoor tables – there are also two outdoor seating areas. Within a few minutes, one of the employees came by with my sandwich which came accompanied by a pickle and a large handful of potato chips on a paper plate. Paper napkins and any flatware needs to be picked up elsewhere, and when you are done, there are trash bins for you to dump your used paper plate in. In other words, this is a really stripped down operation. The sandwich was reasonable. It was nothing extraordinary or special. Between its ordinariness and the employee’s being very – not surly exactly – but certainly not very cheerful of inviting, I am giving this place a three star rating."
