"I've been a customer of Wayne's for a couple years. There is no denying they do a fantastic job raising beef. Their steaks are delicious and typically I would buy from the meat counter. To cut down on driving there, I decided to purchase a whole beef from them, a little over $2000. What I received is something you would never see behind the glass at the store, 2" x 6" NY Strips, rib steaks that barely have a cap (there are pictures in other reviews of the ribeyes you will typically see in the meat case) and filets maybe the size of a half dollar coin. Its disappointing that they would pass something like this off to a customer who spent a substantial amount of money for decent cuts of meat knowing they would not display this in their own market. For those that may not be aware, these steaks are proportionate to the size of the steer. These probably came from a 550lb-575lb hanging weight steer. If you do decide to take the plunge into a whole beef, my suggestion is to specify the hanging weight to avoid having steaks that they wouldn't sell in their stores and that belong on a kids menu. A good conscious business and person in general would have said this is not right, not Waynes...Here, our mistake is your problem."
