"Our family's recent visits to this nearby BBQ spot left us thoroughly impressed. Despite a crowded first visit, the staff, especially the kind and accommodating waitress Lindsay, made us feel welcome at the bar with our two hungry daughters. Their flexibility and attention to our multiple top 9 allergies were commendable. On the second visit, Tyler ensured our daughter's dietary needs were met, adding a personal touch to our experience. The food, a hit with our allergen friendly eater, has our daughter constantly requesting a return. With a family-friendly atmosphere, attentive staff, and delicious options catering to various dietary needs, we highly recommend this BBQ gem. Looking forward to our next visit!"
"I stopped here on way home yesterday, determined not to eat fast food. The owner and staff were attentive. I had a brisket sandwich; it was delicious like the Texas BBQ I had in Fort Worth. The sauce chosen by server after asking about tastes I prefer was spot on. This restaurant on my list to return with family and friends. I read some of the other reviews and possibly (owner/staff) could benefit by watching “Give em the Pickle”"
"We love this place so much and were so happy when they moved in. Best BBQ in at least Western PA as far as I'm concerned. The owner is friendly as are the employees. We are thrilled to live so close to this restaurant and eat here often! Their regular BBQ sauces are all good (especially the shadow sauce), but their sauce 'flavors of of the month' are always on just a whole other level as they're always so good and unique, and it keep things exciting with variety. We really like the wings too since they're smoked and not super deep fried like so many other places' wings are. Big and juicy as well! Only a couple suggestions: 1. It would be great if you served baby back ribs instead of regular ones because I know they'd be phenomenal tasting. 2. The back home burger I tried was delicious, but the burger patty could have used a little more zing/seasoning/salt for added flavor. 3. The lighting in the restaurant could be a little less bright! I know that's not easy since the building is equipped with fluorescent lighting, but I think an overall dimmer ambience inside the bar and restaurant would make it an even more perfect and cozy little BBQ place."
"I do understand this is a grand opening, to be served a beer was 25 minutes. We order our appetizer and meal all at once. It took 2 hours to get our meal. The fried pickles we got were so thinly sliced I only tasted oil and breading not the pickle. My husband got the hungry man meat with two sides. He got the meat no sides and said the meat plus 4 sauces were good. I got chicken tacos with a apple jalapeños sauce. I was please with fresh cilantro and the flavoring. I was feeling our service was terrible when I saw a young lady serving the outside guest quickly. When we asked for our bill my husband asked if he was getting his sides to go. For two bites in the tiny containers I was shocked. Guess we will have to try when thy hype dies down."
