"Recent changes have altered my current opinion. Previously I saw the store as neat more organized and with better quality items now there’s more furniture and clothing . Locals seemed to find what they needed I say go yourself see what you think!"
"This store is full of wonderful "finds!" from household goods to clothing for the whole family, shoes, scarves, jewelry, and things for kids. The manager is terrific, the volunteers are very friendly and the prices just right. This is guilt-free shopping as all proceeds go to our local hospital!"
"Mostly run by volunteers to benefit the local hospital, Bon Secours Rappahannok General Hospital, this store features elegant and casual pre-owned clothing mostly for women, women's shoes, some books, kitchen items and other miscellaneous wares. The ladies giving of their time are very pleasant, and the hospital has benefited from the labor of many. It is a place many local people enjoy visiting and supporting."
"There was a table marked $25.00 being used for display in the window that I asked to purchase. I was told no and I couldn’t get it until the following Saturday. I offered to pay for it and then pick up on that Saturday. Again I was told no. They had tried that in the past & it caused A fiasco. I asked to speak to the supervisor and was told “no ma’am” that I could come back the following Saturday. I asked why a sold sing could not be put on it. The reason was “we don’t do that, there are others who wanted it, too.” And this is a charitable business. I would think the would want the money. To reject & put off a sale to avoid a FIASCO is more than poor business practice. A item marked with a price should be sold immediately. The signs on the display saying not for sale until a certain date prevent a possible sale. It should be a sign that says NFS. Once the item will no longer be used for display It should then be priced. A potential sale should never be turned away. And the customer definitely should not be treated rudely! Unfortunately, I would’ve been a regular shopper as I am a new resident in the area but never again."
