Reviews of Indian Creek Valley Rail Trail
"Well maintained bike walking trail with many little areas that others have gone off the trail whether to camp or be by the water. Bald eagle was near the beginning of the trail, deer, and all kinds of cool fungi off the trail. The parking lot is a decent size. Gravel. On the same road that takes you to camp Christian. There was a porta potty I noticed in the parking lot. I do not however know if that is for everybody to use or if it was there because they are working on expanding a different part of the trail that is not yet complete."
"Great walking trail to visit with the kids or by yourself. Note: the trail entrance is across the street from the parking area"
"This trail could be sooo much better. It's short (about 8 miles one way), and I don't think that the supposedly planned extension to the Great Allegheny Passage will ever take place, although THAT would be fantastic! The surface is in dire need of repair. For the most part, the original crushed limestone is gone, and in some places, replaced with driveway stone; not a good ride on that stuff at all! I believe that with proper maintenance, the trail would be used by many more cyclists and even hikers/walkers. That would be a boon to the small businesses in the area. Some people have ridden it once, and will not be back. That's just a shame. It is a scenic ride, however, and a decent workout, but as I originally wrote, too short."
"I enjoy the crushed limestone rail trails"
"It is a beautiful trail. Lots of fresh air and wildlife. Mostly a woody trail but there are area's that are either marshy of stretches of fields. A winding creek with much fish. It is possible to walk, run, or bike. Many beautiful sights along the way."
