"Beautiful place. Site 186 is in the back of the campground and provides nice privacy. The neighboring sites are reasonably spaced and the extra parking area is close if you're bringing multiple vehicles. There is no prepared tent pad but the space is flat and spacious. Restrooms are also nearby and clean. Firewood was reasonably priced and well stocked. Our stay was cut short by some very heavy rain. Site 186 will flood with 3+ inches of water near the picnic table and fire pit. But other than that, it is a very nice place to stay."
"My girlfriend and I started camping 3 years ago, and having visited Cook Forrest as a kid, I figured it would be a good place to start. We go as much as we possibly can and lobe it here every time. It is our home away from home. We have met new friends and have brought existing friends as well. Family comes to visit even if they don't stay the night just because it's a beautiful place to be. I can not recommend this place enough! Great for tent camping to full hook up. Pick your poison and kick your feet back by the fire."
"I am a tent camper and this was my first stay here for 5 days. From camp we could hike to the old growth forest and the fire tower outlook point. There are canoe rentals and a well-stocked gas station nearby that offers you anything you may have forgotten to pack. The campground can get really full. I was on a loop that offered little privacy. Many of the tent sights are in a field where you will be looking through campsites 4 deep. There are a ton of RV/trailers here in their own loops. So there is something for everyone. Pets and kids included. Restrooms really need maintenance but they are functional. They offer laundry and wash stations as well as hot showers and flush toilets. Overall this is a great campground where you can be close to an amazing forest. There are some restaurants and really cheezy attractions nearby for your kids and family to enjoy. Be sure to purchase firewood from a nearby source! And enjoy!"
"My mom used to take me and my brother here, now I take my daughters. The State Park is beautiful. The camp site is beautiful as well. It's well maintained, grass is cut every time I go. It's directly across the road from Seneca Point. The outhouses, well there outhouses. The shower and bathroom areas, (multiple) are decent. They get a lot of usage. I would recommend wearing flip flops in them, never bare foot. The state park police have always been friendly to me. If I'm lucky I'll make it back every year until I'm gone. Plenty of water activities and trails forever. I love camping here."
"I hadn't been to Cook Forest State Park I about 50 years. The park is still as awe inspiring as it was then. The Ridge campground was nice and clean, the park service personnel were present everyday. Lots of hiking, nature watching and beautiful scenery. The flags at all the campsites for the holiday was a nice touch."
