"The first positive experience I’ve had at a curly hair salon! I got exactly what I was looking for because Marie took the time to really listen to what I wanted and cut my hair with so much care & attention. She also talked me through every step of the way and even put me on to DIY-ing my own hair products. And on top of that, she opened the salon just for me on a day it’s usually closed to fit me in before the holidays. I thousand percent recommend this salon, Marie is not only knowledgeable about hair and a talented hair dresser, but she is also very personable and really cares about her clients."

"*Response: Me being a professional black woman has nothing to do with me submitting multiple reviews. If you believe a 3-star review hurts your business, then obviously you have very little confidence in your ability to do hair. Your vanilla response was phony. I agree this could have been handled differently and had you not texted me the way you did, and called me unprompted twice while we were texting, I wouldn’t even have left a review. For someone who introduced themselves as an empath, you lack consideration for your customers. Don’t bring my hair texture into why you couldn’t adequately perform. The time you took to shampoo, condition, steam, and detangle my hair was fine, we were done by like 1pm. My issue was with the time you took to complete the protective style. Had you communicated it would take a more than an hour, I would have made a decision otherwise but cornrows should not take over an hour and half to complete. And to be visibly annoyed when I asked how much longer just shows how little of an empath you are. Lastly, YOU told me to pull up to the garage when I told you parked on the street. There was a car in the circular driveway, and the driveway is up a hill. My car was not parked diagonally, it was perpendicular to the garage. If someone needed to get in or out, or if I parked incorrectly you should have said something when you MET me at my car. Thanks for your apology and taking accountability for the Sunday appointment. It seems we both had things we should have said but didn’t. Good luck with your business and creative endeavors. Signed, A Real Black Girl Karen. — Visit was okay, but Marie took too long with my protective style and I needed to get back to work. My visit was 4.5 hours, when it should have taken 2. The parking is also weird and not customer friendly. Marie needs to work on her customer service. She was annoyed when I asked her how much longer. I choose to cancel my next appointment she scheduled after she offered to take me on a Sunday with my schedule. She texts me two days later to say I need to reschedule. When I told her I would reschedule when I’m ready she was very rude and condescending. I will not be returning to her salon again."

"I been to the old and new location at least 6 times in a year! I find this salon a wonderful experience! Seems like Justina just showed herself to be a blackgirl Karen, a hater, like my Grndama would say a crab in a barrel! Black women go through enough without being put down by other black women. Sounds like your hair was wack, not the parking not the time it took. Grow-up, if you didn't like something you should talked to them private.
