"Chicken Biryani was absolutely amazing. Huge portion and very flavorful. The Mango Lassi was also delicious. The employees are very kind and treat you like family. My new favorite restaurant in Chantilly."
"After visiting the sister restaurant to this one, Desi Breakfast Club several times and hearing so many positive things about the food here, at Charcoal Chicken I finally came on a weekday for lunch. Service was decent, as it’s a counter order type of place where they bring you the food after you order it. The dining room is good size for dining in. The menu is really nicely done… they offer all the standard Pakistani curried dishes (Kahari, aloo saag, choley, etc), as well as various kabobs made with chicken or lamb, but they don’t have beef. We tried a nice assortment of items, curries, kabobs, etc. Their naan is incredible! I also absolutely love their yogurt chutney… it’s the same as at Desi too and it’s really fresh and tasty! The kabobs were tender, perfectly spiced and cooked to a perfect temperature! Flavors at this place are on-point! Highly recommend!! I’ll definitely be back!"
"The food is pretty good. I liked the presentation, the flavors, the quality of the Lamb Karahi and Naan. Service was friendly, too! FOOD: Lamb Karahi was a bit pricy at $21, but also kind of normal these days, and like I said, it was quite tasty. The sauce was good, and the meat was tender, if not slightly dry. No rice was served, which I personally prefer, but I can see other customers getting uppity about not being given rice. I was a little disappointed by the heat level, but maybe my tolerance went up? I got the spiciest available. The Garlic Naan was a large portion cut into two pieces. Very good and doughy! $1.50 for a large piece, which was very awesome!! They didn't have any Sweet Lassi, only Mango flavored was offered on the menu. Still good! $4. ESTABLISHMENT: They had booths inside, which were busy when I arrived on a Wednesday evening, so I sat outside on the barebones patio tables (there are two). A simple white plastic plate was offered for dine-in, plus plastic utensils. Nothing fancy. They asked me to bring in my tray and plates after I was done, which I think was only because I was outside. They had staff bussing tables inside. The bathroom is located in the back and was basic and functional. There was water all over the floors, which I hope was mostly just them mopping recently. Overall, I enjoyed Charcoal Chicken's food and would go back. It was basic, but tasty. I could see it being a regular or go-to spot for people who live nearby. 3.5 out of 5 stars"
"If you don't like spicy food, make sure you have lots of drinks on hand. If you're expecting ice water you're not going to get it they don't have any ice here so you can't even get a cup of ice for your soda. They use plastic utensils which are so low quality and cheap when you stick it in the food the fork prongs bend and stay that way making it useless. The outdoor metal table and metal chairs are sticky dirty. No it is one of the hottest days of the year, but I think the air conditioning is broken inside so it was really hot, Thank goodness they had a table out on the sidewalk."
"We visited chantilly and was looking for a good restaurant on a Monday late lunch . Many restaurants were closed (because of Monday) and found this one . Google reviews was about 4.1 stars and I was sold on that .. Restaurant was empty when I went … since it said Pakistani food, I wanted to try Karahi chicken :.. ordered one and asked them to make it spicy. But it wasn’t . It was very bland and a bit oily. Tasted good with rice .. z we also ordered a meal with chola peas curry and paneer curry . Chola was really good but paneer was very average . Naan was soft and tasted good . Service was good … took about 20-30 mins for the food to be ready to take.. will surely try again when we visit . Priced ok but could have been 10-15% less .. about 18$ for a veg meal and about 20$ for karahi… overall an average experience.. 3/5 .."
