"Changed my rating to a 1. The crunchy stuff from the dirty grill turned my stomach. Pretty dry and flavorless... not what i expect of Indian food. The free sauce cup was only half full. Everything else is extra. Tea was spoiled."
"Me and my daughter ate here for the first time last week. She had never had any sort of Indian food before and had no idea what to order. The girl at the restaurant was soooo informative and explained everything to her and was so patient. Once we got our meals they were hot and very flavorful. Neither one of us could finish everything and we stayed full for the rest of the afternoon."
"Choolah left me underwhelmed. The restaurant had a vibrant atmosphere, and the staff was friendly, but the food was a letdown. The flavors were muddled and lacked the distinct spices that make Indian cuisine so special. While the concept of build-your-own bowls is interesting, the execution fell short. The food lacked flavor and the ingredients seemed bland. I tried a variety of toppings and sauces, but nothing really stood out. The portion sizes were also quite small for the price. Definitely pricey! I wouldn't consider it a top choice for Indian food in the area. I used to love Choolah, but I don’t think I’ll be going back again."
"Ordered delivery through Uber. We were appalled at the difference in portion sizes between the two Choolaah bowls. My husband ordered chicken with rice and I ordered paneer with half brown rice and half super greens. Just because I ordered the “healthy” option doesn’t mean I want less food overall. If it’s the same “bowl” at the same price, there should be the same amount of food. Plus the “super greens” were mostly just sad lettuce. Portions aside, the bowls tasted mediocre. We also ordered samosas and naan. I can’t comment on the naan because they forgot to put it in the bag even though they marked it on the order slip. The samosas were soggy and flavorless, and we threw the last one in the trash. We’ve had better samosas from the Aldi freezer aisle. Obviously I don’t expect Choolaah to be on the same level as Udipi, Tamarind, or Taj Mahal, but this experience fell short of even my lowest expectations. Do better."
"For a fast food spot I was incredibly impressed at how they were able to pack such an enormous amount of explosive flavors into a dish in such a short amount of time! I’ve come to really love and appreciate Indian food this year, and Choolaah delivers! The Mango Lemonade is amazing!!!!"
