"* BIRD CITY RECORDS is AMAZING! * Erica greeted as I walked in the door and gave me a quick rundown of the store. I asked if they had a bargain bin/clearance section as I like to start with the cheap stuff and work my way up to the newer, more expensive stuff. She responded, “you need to check out SCRATCHERS upstairs.” I went upstairs and saw the JAZZ section (this is my true love here). This was a Great Selection of Jazz. Then, I moved over to the mountain of SCRATCHERS - Two bookcases of $1 records. As I started digging, I ran across several items that I already had in my own library and skipped on to the next piece but I decided to check the overall condition of the LP. Looks used, definitely not mint condition. But certainly not “scratched” like I was thinking. I continued going through and came across some true gems. I ended up pulling (40) pieces of vinyl from the SCRATCHERS - Jazz, HipHop, Rock, R&B, Comedy, Gospel and Latin. 1950’s through the 1980’s. LPs and 12” singles. Erica was a gem with her customer service skills. She informed me of the 20% off sale that the store was having, and about the live in-store performance later that day. Overall, this was a great experience and well worth the trip to La Plata. My rating: A+, 100/100"

"This place is so cool. I would come more often if I could afford to spend my entire paycheck on vinyl. Small store but they have great taste and selection, I always walk out with something amazing in hand. Staff is all great too, wonderful to talk to and very into their work."

"Love this sore. Small boutique with a collection of new and used (mostly vinyl). Slant towards indie/ punk. Great staff, who are super nice, very helpful and will probably remember you. I had to do a return (bad pressing- not their fault) totally hassle free. If you are looking for a particular record I would call ahead (small store) but if you want to browse, check out some stuff you weren't expecting and HEAR some good tunes (they have vinyl turning all the time) this is a great store!"
