"I got my haircut done by her, and then I went to JCPenney for a trim. The master designer specifically asked me where I had gotten my previous haircut, and I thought she was going to criticize it. However, she actually praised the cut, saying it was done by someone who really knows what they're doing. So, a few months later, I made another appointment with Maryam. This time, I told her to cut my hair the way she thought was best. I trusted her at this point because of the unbiased opinion from an expert. The result is that I now have a brilliant haircut, and I'm still loving it even after 3 months. Mind you, I have medium curly hair, and usually, haircuts don't make much of a difference, but this one is truly exceptional. I thought I'd share my positive experience."

"Worst haircut I've ever had. Do NOT go here. Maryam was very nice and had a clean salon (despite it being in her home), however she did not listen to what I asked. I asked for a trim and she took off several inches. She asked me if one inch was okay and I said that was fine as long as it was just the split ends. She clearly doesn't know what an inch is because I left with significantly shorter hair. Additionally, she did such a bad job, I had to go to another salon to have it fixed. The other stylist said it was obviously not even and quite choppy. I'm not sure how she has a license to cut hair. I've never had my hair so poorly butchered and despite the fix at another salon, I've had to wear my hair tied up every day while I wait for it to grow back because of how impossible it is to style now. There were many tears over this awful haircut and I'd just like to warn you to find anywhere else (especially if you have thicker, wavier hair like mine). I was deceived by good reviews and don't want anyone to experience what I experienced. Maryam was very welcoming and kind but doing hair just isn't for her."
